Gentle Dog Training

Thank you Lisa and Mike!! Our big boy Angus had developed some anxiety over the last two years and we needed some help handling him a bit better. He attended their stay and train program and returned to us so much calmer and easier to manage! I can’t express how happy we are with his results. He’s always been a great dog, just needed some guidance and direction. Lisa and Mike definitely came through! 😁🐶❤️

Lisa and Mike are animal lovers :-) I am so glad I let go and trusted their team with our anxious rescue dog! They are eager to teach owners and are ready to accommodate animals with different training tolerances. Whether you go for a group lesson or sign up for board and train, rest assured that you are working with professionals. They have tried various tools, collars, techniques, treats, etc. Go, on ask your questions and have a dialogue-- everything they teach has purpose and they are happy to share what experience has taught them. I wanted a dog that I wasn't afraid would snap at my friends or their children. I needed a new way to communicate with him, more than just 6 distinct obedience commands. After 2 weeks of dog boarding, and some coaching for me, Ace has learned to listen attentively. He is not so anxious about what to do, for I have learned HOW to let him know what to do before he has time to act of his own will. It's a win-win situation. Thank you GentleDogTraining !

We just took our 6month old golden retriever puppy (Ellie) to Gentle Dog Training & we couldn’t recommend it more! Ellie is the most energetic dog I’ve ever had, and was a huge trouble maker. She would constantly jump on people & things, knowingly not listen to our discipline, and pretty much did her own thing. We took her to the two-week board & train and Lisa & her husband worked miracles! We went from having a trouble making hyper puppy to the most well behaved puppy at the dog park. Ellie needed a language & structure to succeed in, and she got that + more from Lisa. Lisa & her husband also taught us how to communicate with Ellie, and now we have this incredibly well behaved girl. We can use her puppy energy toward positive behaviors which enriches her life and ours. We constantly get complimented on how well behaved Ellie is with other dogs and people now. We also loved that during her board & train Lisa sent us pictures & Pupdates on how our girl is doing (picture attached is her husband working with Ellie). At the end of the board & train, we did a long one on one session to learn how to work with Ellie. We also scheduled follow up appointments & were sent home with a bunch of goodies to keep training Ellie with! All I can say is Gentle Dog Training has been a life saver, and I would do it over and over again with any of my future dogs!

We sent our sweet puppy to them over 5 years ago and he has been the best dog. He came home from his board and train a loving and sweet dog ready to obey us. When we got home and we were having trouble with him eating off the counter they coached us on how to stop him and he’s never eaten off the counter again. We get compliments on how amazing he is all the time. When we get another dog we will absolutely be sending him here to get trained.
