Risa has helped us help our 7 year old golden doodle ‘relearn’ many basic skills—and her life (her calm, her attention, her recall, and her confidence!) have improved tremendously! Then Risa helped us get her ready for a new puppy —now at almost one year old we have two happy and well trained dogs. Most notably, I am now a much happier and better dog owner/leader. This was a couple of months back but Risa helped us so much with our little doggo Toby! We were at a lost on how to train him more as we wanted to bring him with us everywhere we go, but he was way too anxious and would constantly bark and panic when outside. Risa gave us a lot of insight into why Toby felt the way he did, and showed us great examples of how to train him. She also took note when he was done, and never pushed him beyond that, and told us to do the same. We've followed all her trainings the past months and I'm so happy to say Toby is a much more confident pupper than I ever expected him to be! He walks confidently in unknown areas, and by using the "yep" commands well, he's been starting to bark less at people. He loves going outside now! We've been able to bring him to so many places, it's like he's no longer that scared and anxious pup I once saw! He still has much to go, but my family's so happy we can bring Toby now on our adventures. This is our first experience in learning to train a dog and I’m so glad to be guided by Risa during the process. We’ve only had two sessions so far, and I firmly believe it’s more about training me how to read and communicate and “be” with my dog, Norman. Already we have come so far and I’m beyond excited to watch our progress grow! Norman is a 4 year old rescue who came to us with lots of issues he needs help sorting out and Risa’s knowledge and ability to educate us is invaluable. I so appreciate the phone calls with her in between our lessons which help remind me what I may have forgotten or correct me if I’ve gone a little off course, but the encouragement about what we’re getting right means everything. Tell me “yep” and give me a treat! 🤣. I would enthusiastically recommend Risa with George & Friends to anyone seeking help with their furry monster-child! Thank you Risa.
