The German Dog Training Center is a 7 acre facility located in Northern California. It is home to Zwinger vom Heidelberger Schloss, a kennel owned by Thomas Sauerhoefer, a German Shepherd Breeder with over three decades of experience breeding, training and showing German Shepherd Dogs in both Germany and the United States. The German Dog Training Center is also the home training field for the Marysville Schutzhund Club, a very active GSDCA WDA club. The Marysville Schutzhund Club hosts an average of 3 Schutzhund trials a year, in addition to participating in community events and sponsoring AKC events like Canine Good Citizen testing. Thomas sold me a show line puppy but told me she was working line. If you are extremely knowledgeable about GSDs then maybe it will work out better for you. I guess I didn't do enough research. I was bent over because I don't have 20+ years experience. I love my dog but I was specifically looking for a protection dog. I trusted Thomas and thought that he was a friend. Big mistake. My advice, stay away.
EDIT: I am taking Hilde to get her hips and elbows checked out. I will update on the results.

Best dog training and boarding I have experienced in my 46 years of owning and loving German Shephard Dogs. We rescued a GSD puppy who needed training and Thomas was amazing. He loves his dogs and is a bright, honest and hard working man. The property on which he trains the dogs is beautiful, and his love for dogs obvious to anyone observing his interacting with them. I can not recommend him more. The best. No reservation. No ifs, ands or buts. We may never need a trainer again, but I’d call him in a nanosecond if I did.

Nice group of people who all are very helpful. The upgrades look outstanding! The training is on the mark. Looking forward to seeing just how far our German Shepherd can go.
