GIFMAF Dog Psychology Center

Bodhi completed both a 5-day boarding stay and a 2-week Board & Train at GIFMAF, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The biggest difference has been the bond and communication between Bodhi and me. Walks are genuinely enjoyable now instead of constantly wondering what moving creature might yank my arm out of its socket. 😂 People ask, “Why train if he’s the goodest boy ever?” The answer is simple: he is the goodest boy. He just came with a few challenges. Bodhi has an intense prey drive and would chase/pull hard toward anything that moved…🦎🐢🐿️🐱🦢… you name it. He was easily distracted, had selective hearing when something exciting caught his attention, struggled with anxiety that he hid behind a calm personality, and even had a habit of eating socks. My biggest concern was bringing him to Florida (to visit family) for the summer, where curiosity around alligators 🐊 and snakes 🐍 could have been dangerous. Throughout training, I looked forward to every video update. The entire staff was incredibly responsive, and no question was ever too big, too small, or too silly. The handoff with Adrian was thorough and gave me confidence, and Isabella has been absolutely wonderful during our follow-up support. Seeing how excited Bodhi was to see Isabella again during our public follow-up session made it obvious how well he had been cared for while he was there. That meant everything to me. The only downside is that we live in Austin, Texas, so we’re incredibly jealous of everyone local who gets to attend the alumni group training sessions. I love the idea of continuing to practice around other dogs with the same foundation, and I think Bodhi would have had so much fun making new friends. If you’re on the fence about training, I can honestly say it has been one of the best investments I’ve made for both of us. Thank you, GIFMAF, for taking such incredible care of my boy and giving us the tools to enjoy life together even more.

A WHOLE NEW DOG!! We rescued Winston at 1 years old, he was frightened of everything and reactive to other dogs in his proximity. We tried and tried everything we knew, finally made the call to GIFMAF! They met with us and recommended "15 day stay and train". They provided daily updates with videos and texts. To be honest I had hoped for a "better" dog, Instead he is a new dog that's leading a normal fun life! Today was our first "monthly meet up" with other graduates, I was blown away by the participation and interaction with all of the trainers, tools and yes a CAMEL! I cannot thank the trainers and staff for their professionalism.

I had a follow-up session with GIF MAF, and Isabella was amazing! She was incredibly sweet, patient, and took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered. She never made me feel rushed and was so easy to talk to. Her guidance was clear, encouraging, and you can tell she genuinely cares about helping both dogs and their owners succeed. I really appreciated the follow-up support and highly recommend Isabella and the team at GIF MAF to anyone looking for professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable dog training.
