GIK9

I’m so thankful I found GIK9! They have been supportive, knowledgeable, and compassionate during this experience of training for my dog Bentley. Bentley needed some help with walking properly on a leash and not reacting to other people or dogs. Not only does he not leash pull anymore, he is completely desensitized to what use to distract him so much on our walks. I can bring him out without worrying him dragging me because he got hyper focused on something else. I also got to learn fun tricks to do with him too to give him mental stimulation! Highly recommend!!

When my wife and I first contacted GIK9 it was when we were in a predicament and looking for a place to board our 2-year-old German Shepard, Mozy. We spoke with Sean, who politely explained that he did not board dogs, but he did train them. He described his military background and years of dog training experience. At the time, my wife and I were not looking for a dog trainer yet and politely declined his services. However, other than his politeness and offered services, it was when Sean reached out days later to check in and make sure that we were able to get our dog situated that made him truly memorable. That same kindness and care that he showed by reaching out when he did not need to, is why we decided to choose him to train our dog months later. It has been one of the BEST decisions we’ve made since getting our dog. Our dog is very reactive to other dogs, and severely struggled with leash walking. Within the first week of working with Sean, he was night and day. Our dog was able to walk on a leash without any hassle and learned to virtually ignore other dogs outright to the point where a dog could be right next to him barking and he would not flinch. Additionally, Sean goes out of his way to send daily updates with videos showing the progression and skills learned which was very calming for my wife knowing that our dog was safe and doing well. When our dog’s time was up, it was a new day, and Sean even taught us some of the lessons he implemented, that way we could work on continuing training and build confidence at home too. In sum, if you have a reactionary dog or a dog that needs more discipline/confidence then this is the place to go. Sean is incredibly attentive, and his lessons provide an almost immediately noticeable impact on our dog’s behavior and growth. GIK9 even offers 1-on-1 follow-up classes if we feel like there has been any regression with our dog. Overall, we have nothing but great things to say about GIK9, and would highly recommend it 5/5 times.
