Glass City K9 LLC

GCK9 has been amazing! We rescued our dog in March of 2023. She was abused and neglected in her previous home, and they were forced to surrender her to our local humane society where we then rescued her. With that, Belle developed a lot of anxiety and reactivity. We hoped it would go away, but after a year of having her it didn’t. At home, she is the perfect dog (doesn’t chew, always tells us when she has to go potty, does well with people). However, in public, it was a way different story. She was extremely reactive and literally scared to be around other people and dogs. We booked an initial evaluation (free of charge) with GCK9 in mid-June 2024. Upon the evaluation, we selected their silver training program (6 separate 1 hour lessons for basic obedience, leash training, and socializing/being in public). Belle’s life has literally been changed for the better thanks to Shelby (a trainer at the Findlay location). After only the second lesson, my husband and I noticed a huge difference: her confidence had grown and her anxiety was going away. We now take walks (literally miles) without her pulling or being afraid of people/dogs. She now sits in her “place” (dog cot) when guests come over and waits until we release her to greet them. Lastly, we even take her to dog friendly stores (Lowe’s), and she does amazing! She was even getting compliments from store employees on how well-behaved she is. Overall, it has given her a new quality of life because she can now go more places with us and do more things! I highly recommend GCK9. I didn’t think it was possible for our once reactive and anxious dog to now be a confident, social butterfly. Thank you, Shelby and GCK9! We are forever grateful!

I enrolled my four-month-old corgi into the puppy lessons, followed by the two week board-and-train program. I am just blown away by how well-behaved and well trained he is now! Shelby was a phenomenal trainer, she worked side-by-side with us to be able to know how to best care for and train our puppy. He walks right beside me without pulling on his leash, he is easily redirects from any distraction, and he no longer antagonizes my cat. Shelby even helped us learn how to keep him calm while we trim his nails. We get compliments about how well behaved our puppy is all the time. I had a wonderful experience at Glass City of Findlay! I first took my six-year-old lab, Harper, for the three week board-and-train. I was a little hesitant because I’ve never been away from my dog for so long, but they were very reassuring and kept me in the loop the entire time with photo updates. When it was time for her graduation, Zack was able to have her demonstrate all the new skills she learned. In the follow up lessons, I was able to learn how to best work with Harper. My connection with my dog has never been better! I am recommending Glass City to every dog owner I know!
