Question on Google
❓ Why do you train puppies off-leash in class?

Our off-leash training approach helps puppies learn real-world focus, confidence, and emotional regulation. Because our curriculum is consistent across all trainers and classes, puppies receive clear, predictable guidance — which allows off-leash work to be both safe and effective.

Question on Google
Do you use positive reinforcement training methods?

Absolutely! Our training is all about encouragement, praise, and treats – making learning enjoyable for both dogs and their humans. Every pup deserves a happy learning experience! We teach you about the developmental stages your puppy is in and what is appropriate for your puppy at that stage. When your puppy is ready, we'll add consequences for non-compliance. Those consequences are much like consequences we use with children today. Never ever anything scary, painful or intimidating. We'll never set you up to break trust and crush deepening the bond between you and puppy.

I have a 4 1/2 year old golden retriever that loves people and children, but suffers from anxiety and shows aggression towards other dogs. We have worked with numerous trainers to combat his problems. Most trainers approached Freddie in a "cookie-cutter" manner. They tried to put a square peg in a round hole. Freddie knows his commands. But, everything goes out the door when he is excited or encounters another dog. Emily, from Go Anywhere Dog, figured out Freddie's problems. At her suggestion, we worked with Freddie's vet to get him on an anxiety medication that can be taken for certain situations, like walks to the park. When starting training, Emily had me take Freddie on shorter walks and turn back when Freddie shows signs of anxiety, which she taught me to look for. We are now slowly increasing the range of walks that Freddie is comfortable with. I can now identify simple signs that he is not feeling safe and I can comfort him. Freddie jumped all over everyone when they arrived at my house. Emily brought a new toy for Freddie to put in his mouth when people come to the door. It successfully displaced his excitement. Now he prances around with the toy in his mouth vs. jumping all over guests. We also have a "time out" area if he is naughty. Other trainers never seemed to connect with Freddie. They led me to believe that he was a bad, broken dog. Emily taught me to better understand Freddie and love him for who he is. We are still working on his anxiety and aggression towards other dogs. But, as we progress with Emily's help, I better understand Freddie and love him. Freddie and I are much happier after starting our training with Emily. I just wish that we had met Emily earlier!!

GAD is awesome! Our puppy is quickly learning all the basics. Sit, down, spin, stay, leave it, and more. It's a great way to socialize our dog in a controlled environment. He knows when were going to class and gets super excited to play with his puppy friends. Highly recommend these class.

Go Anywhere Dog was awesome! I did a lot of research to find a dog obedience class for my puppy, Blue. We decided on Go Anywhere Dog because we liked the way they think about dogs and their needs. They don't expect perfection because they are still puppies and they see every dog's individuality and needs and work with that. We just completed the first session and we have signed up for the whole package so we will eventually complete them all. I was amazed at what my 5 month old dog was able to do in just 5 weeks. I can't wait to see what else he learns in the coming weeks. I love the socialization piece of each class. I think that is so important to have as a puppy and it is in a controlled setting so we (the owners) also learn how to deal with any different behaviors we see. I also love the off-leash aspect of the classes. We are hoping to train Blue to be a therapy dog and this piece is beneficial for that. Overall, we are so happy with the choice we made with Jody and Ashley at Go Anywhere Dog.

After receiving a slightly used 6 month old pug I knew I had a great opportunity to support him to be the best dog ever. I never had a puppy despite growing up around dogs all my life and this was an opportunity I didn't want to squander. I did my research for training classes and my decision to enroll Dio in Go Anywhere Dog was a no brainer. At this point I had been watching plenty of YouTube videos and Instagram reels and the most predominant theme them all was the power of play and socialization with other dogs and the environment. After discovering Go Anywhere Dog I also found some YouTube videos they published and was confident in their skills and expertise with teaching me the skills needed for my pup. My decision to purchase the full puppy package has been the best for Dio. He thrived in the classes and received lots of individual attention from Emily and Ashley. I also saw their expertise in assessing and correcting less than desired behaviors when they occurred among the class and did so with grace and compassion. I cannot recommend this program enough. Now Dio is 1 year and 4 months. He's still got work to do, whether it be 'by my side' on walks, seeking attention by jumping in people's space (I never did discourage this), and some other areas to improve. However, I'm confident that I have the language and skills needed to minimize these behaviors and communicate the ones I desire. I never would have received this from a larger dog training chain or costly 1:1 sessions with a trainer that didn't offer socialization with other dogs. The package has been a great value and I highly recommend them to anyone. Need further proof? The first picture below is Dio on a patio just 2 feet away from another dog. Not once did he react and stayed in this position for the duration of my time there. He truly is becoming a Go Anywhere Dog and yours should be to. For every day we live our dog lives 7. Give them the gift of going everywhere they can with you in confidence and peace of mind of them being a Go Anywhere Dog.

Highly, highly recommend Go Anywhere Dog classes! We were so happy with Jody’s training that we’ve actually taken all the classes offered, but this review is for the puppy class. We were extremely impressed with Jody's ability to notice the unique personalities of each puppy, interpret their behaviors and offer individualized suggestions and interventions, while also making sure all the dogs in the class were safe and having a positive experience. My puppy was initially displaying behaviors that I would have interpreted as aggressive, but Jody was able to tell he was actually sensitive and overcompensating for his nervousness. She taught us how to intervene effectively to improve his behavior while also building up his confidence. I fully credit Jody and these classes for helping our puppy develop into a well trained and emotionally healthy dog who truly goes anywhere and everywhere with us.
