Golan Dogs

If you ever wondered if there was much of a difference between a Dog Trainer and a Certified Dog Behaviorist, there is! I have had three dogs, each with a different Dog Trainers, but I never learned how to prevent my Border Collie from chasing every soccer ball that he came across, or how to prevent my German Shepherd from aggressively defending my family even when there was no threat. So when I decided that my next dog partner was going to be a Malinois, and my research showed that they are extremely challenging with major warnings to be sure to find an experienced professional Malinois handler, I searched out Golan who has extensive experience with the breed and it was one of the best decisions of my life! We completed Golan's Puppy Training and Obedience Training, and now Bella (dog) and I bike, skateboard, hike, and barhop together :) Thank you so very much Golan, Bella and I are forever in your debt!

We brought our beautiful girl home from.the humane society with some.bad habits and manners. I am so thankful that we reached out and got the training sessions (more training us than the dog). We needed help learning how to.meet her needs and understand her communication to us.. I can honestly say we had a good transition and our dog is truly part of our family and it had been enjoyable for us and the dog.

I can’t say enough positive things about our time with Golan. We enrolled our 12 week old puppy (Josie) in his puppy program and we could not be happier with the results. Golan was super attentive to both our needs and Josie’s needs, and provided us with a training program tailored specifically for her. He is focused on building a foundation of trust between owner and dog as well as owner and trainer. We are extremely happy with the results of our training and feel confident knowing that we have the tools to correct negative behaviors if/when they arise. We highly recommend his services to all dog owners!

We got a new husky puppy a few months ago and started puppy training with Golan. Our puppy, Pua, loved to see him and always enjoyed his training sessions. We didn’t really know where to start, but Golan taught us a lot of tips, tricks, and methods to get Pua house trained and ready for the world! We feel a lot more confident in training our puppy with those techniques, and our puppy has improved so much already. We were also happy to find a trainer that didn’t use hurtful collars or techniques to train our puppy! Golan is super patient, friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable about training dogs! Where do we begin... We have a 3 year old Chocolate Lab named Woodford. He is a happy yet very quirky guy— anxious, needy, issues with resource guarding as well as aggression/fearful towards other dogs. We decided to research board and train programs and we stumbled upon Golan. We first spoke over the phone and he asked about Woodford and what his issues were. The next step was a home visit. After meeting Golan and talking more about the program in detail we decided to go with the 3 week advanced program. We can not recommend him enough. We dropped Woodford off for 3 weeks and got back a pup who enjoys life, wants to learn, wants to socialize, and overall just loves the structure of obedience, training, and most of all— fun! Golan is unbelievably patient, extremely friendly, & overall a fantastic teacher (to both pups and humans). Woodford truly can not contain his excitement every time he sees Golan— speaks volumes to his character. So thankful and appreciative for all of Golan’s hard work.
