Five of those stars would be for his knowledge and skill in shaping the behaviors of our canine family members, and the other five would be for his straightforward and clear communication with the humans! He knows exactly what to do for your specific situation, and works equally well with the dogs and humans to achieve success. We have a sweet but also big and strong German Shepherd mix who needed confidence around other dogs and needed to learn some inside skills given that she was a bit neglected before we adopted her. He developed a plan and guided us along, with truly remarkable results. We recommend him to anyone looking to work with their dog using gentle and effective methods. We will use him again with the next dog we adopt.

I highly recommend Golan for training of your dog and also for guidance for the owner! I completed several sessions with Golan and also had my dog complete a board-and-train session with him. Golan had a profound passion for dogs and treats each dog with kindness and affectionate attention. Every time my dog was with Golan he was so happy and basically turned inside out with excitement. My dog is a large dog, 105 pounds, and was exhibiting aggressive behavior. He would lunge at other dogs as we passed by them, try to chase motorcycles, UPS trucks, and FedEx trucks. As I began training with Golan, it became evident that my behavior was causing many of these reactions. As Golan is a canine behaviorist, he quickly pointed out how my movements and reactions demonstrated nervousness which caused my dog to react. It’s true my dog reacts to loud noises (motorcycles etc.), but Golan taught me when I remain calm and show my dog that it is nothing to fear he remains calm and doesn’t react. When he would lunge at other dogs, it was because he wanted to meet that dog. And then when I remained calm, we could walk by other dogs with no issue. Golan also showed me how to correct undesirable behaviors with authority and intention. Golan was extremely patient and nonjudgmental. He delivers training information with kindness and consistently with a calm demeanor. I intend to schedule refresher training sessions in the future. I am profoundly thankful for all Golan offered to help me with my dog.
I saw Golan for 8 sessions about a year ago to help with my first dog Boh who was a year old. Golan helped me make great strides in getting my dog guided with leash reactivity while also helping with at home barking and other nuances. It ended up being great for understanding my dog’s communication and needs.
Golan was prompt, efficient and attentive to our needs when we adopted our 3 year old husky. He was flexible with our schedules and each training session left us feeling accomplished and motivated to continue the learning & training journey with our pup. He has our trust and respect, every dog could benefit from his services. Thank you Golan!!!
