Golden Paws Dog Training offers fun, effective In-Person and Online dog training using positive reinforcement methods. Our new facility serves Minnesota’s Iron Range, including Virginia, Hibbing, Eveleth, Gilbert, Mountain Iron, Palo, Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Biwabik, Embarrass, Babbitt, Tower, Ely, and Duluth. We specialize in puppy training, basic manners, obedience, rally, agility, canine good citizen prep, and behavior modification. Online classes, workshops, and webinars are also available through Fenzi Dog Sports Academy. Whether you’re raising a puppy, working on manners, or preparing for competition, we can help!

When is the best time to start training my dog?
It's best to start when your dog is a puppy! The important socialization period is from about 3 weeks of age until about 14-16 weeks of age, and it's super important that you properly socialize during this time. Our puppy socialization package gives you that opportunity to socialize and start to train your dog. The manners classes will help your dog learn basic manners and obedience skills.

Best place to get positive reinforcement training and one on one time with a trainer!
Wonderful atmosphere for first time (and experienced) dogs and trainers! We attended puppy socialization and basic manners classes and they were great! The owner, Nicole, is very knowledgeable and gives individualized attention to each dog in her group classes, and also offers individual private lessons if needed. Highly recommended!
Great center, run by caring and compassionate people! We took two lab mix puppies to the puppy class and were really encouraged and enjoyed our time there. The puppies have learned life skills they will continue to benefit from their whole lives, and we humans have learned how to be better "dog parents". Training is positive reinforcement and very rewarding! What a great service to have locally!
Excellent force free trainer. This training center is a true gem on the Iron Range. She can help with any issues your dog is currently experiencing, or help train your dog to the next level in agility or obedience! I highly recommend Golden Paws Dog Training for all humans and canines!
