Good Citizen K9

Damon did an amazing job with my Rocky, who went at 4&1/2 months old for a two week boot camp at GCK9. Rocky came home with a solid core understanding of obedience commands and Damon spent plenty of time teaching me how to continue training at home. Also, Damon honors his promise of “lifetime tuneups”, helping me with training issues bound to arise with a young German Shepherd. Damon does not use prong or shock collars, instead his students learn that obedience is a good thing!

We cannot recommend Damon enough! I have a very rambunctious labradoodle who loves to jump and pull on his leash. We sent him to other trainers first (before we knew of Good Citizen K9) who used e-collars and within two weeks our pup was back to his old habits and I felt guilty shocking him. We did the four week program with Damon and now he is so well behaved! We even purchased an agility set from this company to continue his exercises at home since he loved it so much while at boot camp. It’s evident that Damon really cares for the dogs and his methods are very effective. He gives you and you’re dog all the tools you need to succeed. I highly recommend Good Citizen K9!!!

If you are looking for a dog trainer, look no further! Damon is your guy! We heard about Good Citizen K-9 from a friend who recommended it. I called and Damon spent 45 minutes on the phone with me before we even committed to do the training. He is one of the most knowledgeable people I have met. He uses positive reinforcement to train. We received pictures and videos of our dog every Sunday and Wednesday. It was so good seeing progress being made. We picked our dog up after 2 weeks. Damon spent an hour going over how to continue the work at home. He then spent another 1 1/2 hours showing us and then allowing us to practice all commands he had taught her. Who else would take that much time to make sure we knew what we were doing when we got home??!! I highly recommend Good Citizen K-9. I only wished we would have done this earlier.

Damon and his staff did great with my golden doodle. In just two weeks, she has learned so much in her training. After many other training experiences in the area, this was the first place that focused on our dog’s specific needs. Damon’s time and dedication with our pup showed in everything he did throughout the process. We loved the frequent updates and communication throughout the process!
