Working with Good Dog Boston has been rewarding and educational . Jeff , our trainer was kind and patient and easy to understand , making himself available for follow up and questions . He shows a genuine commitment and care for my dog in a way that only dog lovers recognize. He also helped me with neutrality and behavior with dog groups and busy city situations such as crowded street walking and trains . This is a game changer for me and has made my life more manageable. I would recommend this organization to anyone looking to learn to communicate, understand and develop a relationship with their pet into a loving and respected and educated one . You can have the best pet if you follow the training they provide . Great choice !

I would recommend Good Dog Boston to anyone! Our trainer Jeff was patient, kind, and extremely helpful when working with us and our dog Miley. Miley struggles with reactivity triggered by other dogs and living in downtown Boston makes avoiding other dogs nearly impossible. Jeff provided a tiered program which laid the ground work for Miley's basic obedience and built up to working through her reactivity issues. We have already seen huge improvement in Miley's behavior and all thanks goes to Good Dog Boston! Also shoutout to Jeff's furry assistants: Danny, Halo, & Doctor for being the good-est boys and helping their friend Miley with her manners! Truly a 5 star experience!

I am so grateful to Jeff at Good Dog Boston for his amazing training for my Italian Greyhound puppy! Her behavior absolutely transformed within 8 sessions. Jeff's expertise and sense of humor made the sessions so much fun and he really taught my dog so many skills in a short time. We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Jeff and his training program. We enrolled our labradoodle puppy in the puppy program at 5 months old, and it made a world of difference. Jeff helped us navigate and correct those early, unwanted puppy behaviors while building a solid foundation of training that’s stuck with our pup ever since. Jeff is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but he’s also clearly passionate about what he does. His approach is effective, thoughtful, and tailored—and the results speak for themselves. Our puppy is now a well-behaved city dog we’re proud to take anywhere. On top of that, Jeff is responsive, flexible, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. He was always quick to respond to texts and understanding when we needed to reschedule. We wouldn’t hesitate to call on him again if we ever need more support.

We were having trouble training our adolescent spitz, who was quickly becoming quite reactive/aggressively territorial on regular walks around the neighborhood. We're so grateful that we had the chance to work with Jeff at Good Dog Boston - though we'd read a handful of books and watched a few videos about how to work with reactive dogs, there's nothing quite like having someone with a great deal of experience point out to you the specific tools to use and nuanced cues in your specific dog's behavior to watch out for. It turns out a lot of training is getting those split-second details right, and understanding what positive reinforcement techniques to use (and eventually how to morph away from food-based training). Jeff was wonderful - worked with our busy schedules (and the weather), clearly excellent/fond of dogs, highly results-driven (even bringing in other well-trained dogs and additional trainer to work on some specific problems our dog had), and he gave us customized "homework" to do. Though our dog certainly isn't perfect, he's shown such enormous improvement since we started training him based on Jeff's coaching (for example, walking him is now pleasant instead of embarrassing and stressful). I'm confident if we continue sticking to the techniques we learned from our private sessions, we'll be setting our puppy up for good habits/success as he mellows out with age.
