I can’t say enough good things about Thoma and Meg. I bring my almost 2-year-old Dutch Shepherd to Thoma for bite work and obedience training, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Thoma is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful in his approach. His training style is very play- and reward-based, which my dog absolutely thrives on. He’s also a fantastic decoy, my dog genuinely loves working with him and is always excited to train. What really stands out to me is how supportive Thoma is, not just to the dogs but to the handlers as well. On tougher training days, he’s always encouraging and takes the time to remind me that progress isn’t always about big wins sometimes it’s the small ones that matter most, and one hard day doesn’t define the journey. That perspective alone is invaluable. During private lessons, Thoma is fully present the entire time. He works with both my dog and me without ever rushing, cutting sessions short, or wasting time. You truly get his full attention and expertise. Meg and Thoma’s facility is extremely clean, well-run, and feels like a true community center for dog people. There’s a great energy there, and it’s clear how much care they put into everything they do. I highly recommend training with Meg and Thoma. They are genuinely good people and truly incredible dog trainers. If you’re serious about training and want to work with professionals who care deeply about both dogs and handlers, this is the place.
