Good Dog Enrichment & Training

Good Dog has helped our Finny so much. She is a scared girl who is very dog reactive and would even snap at/bite us when we would walk her and encounter another dog. It’s been almost a year since she has snapped at us now and overall her fear and anxiety has decreased a ton. We love all the the trainers who have patiently worked with her - force free training is the only way my scared girl was going to learn new behaviors and coping skills. I highly recommend Good Dog to anyone who is struggling with a dog reactive pup.

I have nothing but great things to say about Good Dog! I have utilized the day training program for more than two years, and have had several in-home sessions for my two dogs as well. Both of my dogs have some specific needs and Good Dog has met them right where they are. I know when I drop them off for day training that they are in good hands with trainers who care about them - that is more important to me than anything else. And my dogs love the team - it's so fun to see how happy they are when they go to Good Dog. Tucker has gained so much confidence and I feel is just a happier dog all around. Doozle has made big improvements in his reactivity to so many things, and can even be in the same room there with a dog he doesn't know - without telling everyone about it. Good Dog also helped these two become friends when we were fostering Doozle, which ultimately led to us adopting him. Doozle was very dog reactive at the shelter, but with time, patience and a good plan he proved that he can have doggy siblings. (Thanks, Kailey!) Good Dog has provided me with so many tools, as well as simple solutions to issues I was overthinking. All of the training tools and suggestions they provide work - you just have to do it! Everyone has been great to work with and I appreciate their enthusiasm when one of my dogs has a great day of training. I feel supported and feel that they truly care about my dogs. I also love that Good Dog is always working to improve and expand their services. Thank you Good Dog for making Tucker & Doozle's world bigger and better! And for making me a better dog parent!

Good dog has been such a positive addition to my dog’s life! I put my 9 year old stranger danger pup through their package of private lessons and day training and continue to take her to daycare for over a year now. While the prices for their services are on the higher end, I don’t mind the cost because I know how well taken care of my pup is. I love that every trainer knows her, I always get a daycare report, and she is showered with treats. When I took her to a more traditional doggy daycare years ago, I did not have the same experience. I could tell how overwhelmed she was all day by the sheer number of dogs running loose. I could also tell the employees didn’t care for her much because she isn’t an “easy” dog. Now when I pick her up, while she is thrilled to see me because she is clingy, I also can tell she was comfortable and happy throughout the day. I much prefer the way they structure my dog’s day with walks and enrichment instead of a free for all and I can tell my dog prefers it this way also. I fully believe they have every dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness in mind! I also like supportive a woman owned small business!

We first signed our puppy up for the Day Training- Foundational Intermediate Package when she was around 6 months old. At about 9 months, we signed her up for the Foundational Advanced Package (when her humans realized they needed more help with obedience!). Holy moly what progress she made over those days! Day training comes with videos that have been very helpful to see how we should be training certain behaviors at home. It’s also nice to see how Pippin has been progressing in class. Later, we brought her back for Prey Drive class which is a pet parent + pup class. After this class, Pippin has been much better about redirecting back to us when she sees a squirrel. We’ve noticed her default position is now a “down” and she can hold it for much longer. She’s also seeming to calm down from being overstimulated much quicker. Her parents have also been making better progress at training! Especially the training walks and working on duration for various cues. Now, at 1 1/2 years Pippin regularly comes to Good Dog for daycare, which has the added benefit of continued reinforcement of training. She loves her days at daycare and the pictures and videos we get of her day are so cute!

Good Dog has helped our pup enormously. When we first started bringing her in for training, she was very dog-reactive and had trouble coexisting with other dogs, let alone playing with them. Good Dog's force-free training has helped her become much more comfortable around other dogs (and she's even made some friends that she likes to play with!). The trainers here are knowledgeable, kind and genuinely care about your dog. We can't recommend them enough!
