Hi Mel, I am truly sorry you left feeling this way after working with us. I care deeply about the families who trust us with their dogs, and I did reach out privately to talk through your concerns but have not heard back. Since this review does not reflect what actually took place, I want to clarify a few things for anyone reading. The scheduling mistake was a genuine technical error that caused your appointment not to save. I take full responsibility for that and completely understand how frustrating it was. As soon as I realized what happened, I extended my hours to accommodate your schedule and make up the time. Throughout our lessons you expressed that you found the sessions helpful and never mentioned any concerns like the ones described here. That makes this review especially confusing and disheartening to read because I would have addressed your frustrations right away if I had known you were feeling this way. Your dogs’ situation was complex, and I worked hard to make sure you got as much value as possible from each session while respecting the budget you had shared with me. When I noticed repeated yelping and stiffness from Rory, I ethically had to raise the possibility of pain, as the majority of behavior change comes from a pain issue. We never diagnose medical issues. Our recommendation was for a pain medication trial through your vet, not expensive diagnostic testing. I even wrote and sent a letter directly to your veterinarian to explain that recommendation in addition to my observations and help prevent unnecessary procedures. Any decisions you and your vet made were separate. The idea that your lessons consisted of watching YouTube videos is not accurate. Those links were sent afterward as optional at home resources to reinforce what we had already worked on in person and to help you save time and money while continuing to practice. When we offered additional lessons, it was not to sell more services. It was to continue supporting you and helping your dogs make progress based on your questions around next steps to continue improving the dogs' relationship. I am genuinely sorry this experience left you feeling disappointed, and I wish we had been able to talk about it directly. Even though this was difficult to read, I am glad your dogs are doing better because that has always been the ultimate goal.
