Life is SO much better since Gus spent 28 days at Good Dogz KC board and train program. Gus came into my life in the early stages of covid as an 8 week old puppy. While it gave us an amazing time to bond, it didn't allow Gus to get out and learn how to socialize with other animals and small children. And like many other dogs he would lose his ever loving mind when the doorbell rang and when we finally were able to have visitors at the house he would get so excited he would jump all over them. My level of frustration finally hit a breaking point. Most of it came from my inability to know how to handle Gus and help him conquer his fears or anxieties during certain situations. I shared these frustrations with someone I know and trust and she suggested Good Dogz KC. I reached out and Andrew came to the house for an hour training session. He was amazing with Gus and basically unknowingly started to put me at ease with his easy going personality and handling of Gus. It was a short time later I reached out and signed Gus up for the 28 days board and train program. Both Andrew and Jahaira were amazing with Gus. They sent several videos of Gus's training sessions and I could see he was making much needed progress. When Gus came home it was evident he had learned many things. Now it was time for me to learn how to work with Gus so he didn't lose or take a step backwards in his program. Andrew and Jahaira spent 2-3 hours teaching me how to handle Gus. However, Gus got 28 days of intense training I got 2-3 hours of intense training and felt like I couldn't retain everything I learned that day. One of the things I really love about the program is they not only do the one day drop off training sessions, but they scheduled 3 1-hour sessions for the next three weeks. Giving me the ability to work with Gus for a week and then coming back to help tweak me into a better handler for Gus so that he knows he can trust me to take care of him in any circumstance. I can honestly say Gus is still a goofy fun loving English Bulldog and now has amazing manners and ability to listen and follow instructions. My level of frustration has diminished greatly and I'm more confident in handling Gus when we are out and about. Gus and I have an even closer bond due to all the hard work and training Andrew and Jahaira gave him over the program. I would highly recommend Good Dogz KC to anyone who has a dog struggling with any type of issue. Their ability to train dogs is amazing, but translating that training to their owners is invaluable as well.

If I could give Good Dogz KC 10 stars, I would! I can’t sing their praises enough. Before sending our dog to them for a 3 week board and train, I would say “she is a great dog, she just needs some fine tuning”. The dog that came back to us was better than we could have ever imagined! She is more fun to be around, listens to us when we give a command, is a pro at walks, and seems like a more confident version of herself. We were so worried she would lose some of her personality throughout training, but it feels almost opposite! Her personality really shines through now because she has the tools to allow that, instead of becoming overstimulated and uncertain in situations. That is all thanks to Andrew and Jahaira; both of which are an absolutely joy to work with! We were kept updated about her progress, given training in our home to make sure we kept the amazing things going when she got home, and the best part was that our dog had a BLAST. You could tell during the home sessions that she truly loved being with them and sometimes cared more about Andrew and Jahaira more than us. Having done training with another company that was less than satisfying, we can confidently say that some of the best money we have ever spent was with Good Dogz KC!

We recently used Good Dogz KC to board & train our 7-yr old English Shepherd Rio. You can tell from the start that Andrew and Jahaira are well experienced trainers that know what they're doing. I really appreciated that they provided lots of photo and video updates of our dog's training progress via Instagram during his 3-week stay with them. They also offer great complimentary follow-up and post-training support, and make sure to convey all required training info in a understandable and teachable manner. Would highly recommend Good Dogz KC for anyone who wants to make sure their fur baby lives up to their full potential!

I had been looking around for a place to train my dog for me for a while. I found GoodDogzKC and knew it was the right fit for me and my dog. They do the training in their own home instead of in a facility where they go home at night and leave the dogs there alone. That’s why I initially chose them. My dog, Pandora, did a 28 day board and train program with Andrew and Jahaira and they were AMAZING. I was anxious about sending her away for 28 days, but they kept me updated and sent me lots of pictures of my baby while she was at their house. They made sure I was updated about every step of the training process. Pandora has been back home from training for 13 days now and the day she came back home, Andrew and Jahaira spent around 3 hours teaching me everything they had taught Pandora, so that I could continue holding her accountable for her new positive behaviors. Since she’s been home, any questions that come up, I’m able to text Jahaira or Andrew. I don’t know how Jahaira got to be the lucky one that I’m always texting(sorry girl.😂😂) but she’s ALWAYS super helpful with her responses and always makes sure I completely understand. Also the most important part, my dog had so much fun at their house and learned so much! I’m super proud of how much she learned in just 28 days. I don’t have anything but good things to say about GoodDogzKC. I would 10000% recommend them to anyone looking for help training their dog.
