Good Habits Dog Training

We cannot recommend Jason enough! We hired him to help us train our 5 month old Bernedoodle puppy, who was having a tough time with basic commands like leash walking, jumping, and counter-surfing, while showing slight signs of aggression at times. Jason was incredibly patient, took the time to listen to all of our concerns, and when above and beyond to support us through every step of the training process. He's not only EXTREMELY knowledgeable, but also amazing with dogs. It's clear he genuinely cares about each dog's success and takes the time to understand the needs of the owners as well. He thoroughly explained each command, taught us how to effectively work with our dog, and drove home the importance of setting clear expectations. We are super grateful for our experience with Jason and and can't thank him enough for the difference he helped us achieve with our puppy.

My husband and I adopted a 9 year old Pit Bull from the Rock County Humane Society, and needed some help since neither of us had owned a dog for many years. After reading numerous reviews of area trainers, I gave Jason a call. He met with us and listened to our concerns and expectations, and outlined a plan to meet those. From the first few minutes of the first session, I learned more about how to adapt my dog's behavior to my needs than I ever would have thought possible. By implementing the methods Jason taught, I now have a dog that does not drag me down the street on our walks, does not try to lunge at other people or dogs, and is more focused on me and what I am asking of her. It's a great start to a wonderful relationship. I would highly recommend Jason as a trainer for any issues you might have.

I hired Jason for m y 1 year old German Shepherd. I can't say enough good things about Jason! From the very first session, it was clear that they have a deep understanding of dogs and a genuine passion for helping them (and their owners) succeed. My dog, Niko, was struggling with leash pulling, reactivity (being overly excited with other dogs), and some basic command etiquette and within just a few sessions, the progress was incredible. Jason is patient, knowledgeable, and truly knows how to communicate with both dogs and owners. He took the time to explain not just what to do but why it works, which made it so much easier to continue practicing at home. His positive reinforcement approach made a huge difference – my dog was excited to learn, and I could see their confidence growing with each session. Jason was such a huge help and relief. We called him because our dog was starting to show resource guarding. He was very nice, supportive, and reassuring when I called him. He was able to help us and our dog with her resource guarding and other skills within 3 sessions! We already noticed a difference in our dog after session 1! He’s so easy to talk with and so talented!!! Beyond grateful we found him. We love that we can go to him anytime throughout the rest of our dogs life. He’s the best and it’s 100% worth the money! If my husband and I got to do it all over again, we would’ve called Jason up right when we adopted our dog. Thank you so much Jason for everything!!!
