Grand Rapids K9 - Dog Training

Tony is phenomenal! His knowledge and expertise in dog behaviors and training is just amazing. More importantly he is patiently training us to be the best puppy parents!! Our 7 month old German Shepherd went from naughty to amazing in a few short lessons. He also did an amazing job working with our 3 year old autistic grandson and our pup! We went to other training facilities and looked at other trainers and we are so happy we chose Grand Rapids K9… there is no comparison! They are the best!!

Tony has been great and his love for the puppies is evident! He is training me to better teach my puppy and it is helping my puppy and I bond better. Tony is great at explaining behaviors to help me make corrections more consistently. He is very efficient and he does a great job with me and my puppy! Every encounter with Jason and Tony has been great from my first call until now. In just two sessions, I have a different puppy who is behaving better and still having great play times! This was an excellent experience. Did the 2-hour 1on1 consultation and training with Tony. Saw immediate results by the end with my 5 and a half year old fear-reactive dog and felt like I had a clear sense for how to replicate those results on my own going forward. He worked with me and her on dealing with fear-reactivity with house guests and then fear-reactivity with other dogs on leash. I was ready to accept life with my dog as a beautiful basketcase, but now I feel like I have concrete and simple tools for correcting her behavior. Best of all, Tony was honest about not needing more training sessions at the end. I know that’s not the case for most dogs, but it reflects the good intentions and trustworthiness of Grand Rapids K9. I’ll add also that Tony is super knowledgeable and friendly, and working with him was chill and lowkey. We’ve tried group training before and it was stressful and ultimately pointless. The money for the 1on1 with these guys is definitely worth it.
