Granite State Dog Training Center

NOT OK. I took my 7 month old Labradoodle here to gain some extra training on top of my own training only because I wanted him to learn to listen with other dogs, people and distractions around. It’s one thing to have a perfectly obidient dog at home but act crazy when he’s around guests and or other dogs. I chose Granite State Dog Training because I had friends recommend them. They must have different trainers because they had me buy a “training collar” for him and she used it on him also. Labradoodles are very docile creatures and do not need to be choked at the neck to be trained. They are very smart and only need verbal training. I had to bring my dog to the vet after going to the training classes because I thought he had kennel cough. Turns out he didn’t and he was just coughing and wheezing from the way she was training him with the collar. I have since thrown away the training collar. I didn’t finish out the classes because I didn’t want to take my dog back here. I wouldn’t recommend this training facility unless you want your dog to have throat damage and harsh training.
