The Greater Kansas City Dog Training Club was founded in 1953 and is the only AKC licensed club in the area. We offer training classes taught by our member volunteers. We also put on obedience, rally, agility, and scent work trials and tracking tests.

Is there a puppy class? How old do they need to be?
Yes! We have puppy classes. Puppies should be between 3 and 6 months old. Puppy class is on Wednesday night and a new session will be starting in a couple weeks. Hope to see you in class!

I have called and emailed twice each, and have never received a response ... how in the world does anyone get their pet registered?
Linda they have classes mon- wed 630 ish to 9. Between each 6 week training cycle, which eas last week, they take a week off.

You need to come to a meeting.The meetings are held the first Thursday of each month. I am not sure of the time.You can fill out an application at that time. Sorry that is all I know.I am not a member at this time.

Had the similar experience. I physically went to their building with my check. Go Saturday mornings or Tuesday evenings when they have classes.

The BEST place for training classes! If you have a dog of any age I’d recommend this place especially for puppy classes. Great socialization I see a big difference from my puppy with their help. Trainers are knowledgeable they give great tips and advice. I came here 4 years ago with my puppy Lilac and now back again with my latest, Lotus. I’m excited to participate in more classes they offered a large selection to learn about the sports and are encouraged to participate even as a first timer. Great prices for great classes

Great place to go too if you want your dog to listen to you for there safety. Training your dog to obey your comands is a high priority to keeping them safe. Why wouldn't one want to learn this. People need to learn first, so then their dog will learn. My puppy is only 5 months old that is in my picture. Look how alert she is already.
