Green Mountain K9 | Seacoast (Mobile)

I had a fantastic experience with Green Mountain K9 and will highly recommend to others, just as they were highly recommended to me. Thanks to Mark’s exceptional knowledge and his patient, instructive, organized and fun training method, my dog and I learned together many valuable real-world skills in 1 hour weekly sessions that we could apply at home in easy 15-minute daily practices. This has resulted in a previously rowdy, bouncy puppy learning to auto-sit, stay, lay down, heel, not pull on her leash, recall, walk off leash both in public and in the woods, hang out at my feet in crowded places, listen for and obey my commands including in high-drive situations, and more in just 8 sessions. Mark was exactly the trainer we were looking for! Remi is a Belgian Malinois mix that we rescued a few years ago. As with most rescues, she came with some quirks, and unfortunately, her leash reactivity seemed to worsen over time. We tried a few different trainers who were only positive and reward-driven, which were not helpful for us at all. Mark was the perfect balanced trainer for us. After 4 lessons I'm now able to walk both of my dogs at the same time without being fearful of her leash reactivity. I can't wait to start e-collar training with her in order to give her more structured freedom! Can't recommend Mark enough.

from the first conversation to the final lesson, we knew we were in good hands. Our 10-year-old terrier/Frenchie mix was a huge puller on the leash (whenever he wanted to play with another dog) to the point where I was worried he would aggravate his arthritis. Mark was assuring that he could help us and would sign us up for the three lesson leash package - and all packages are 1-on-1, which i think is fantastic. He never made us feel bad for using a harness — just told us he teaches with a prong collar but gently and fairly. i used a prong collar a long time ago on my family dog growing up, but couldnt remember how to use it. within those three lessons, our Tyrion was no longer lunging and pulling on walks trying to play with other dogs! Beyond that, we extended our package to include e-collar training. we wanted a little freedom with better recall, off-leash training possibilities, and the ability to calm our dog down around children. id never used an e-collar before and Mark explained how it worked, gave examples, and lots of hilarious anecdotes along the way. we never thought we'd be able to comfortably sit on a brewery patio with our dog because he'd be anxiously trying to bark and play with all the other dogs, but our graduation lesson this sunday proved us wrong. ive worked with trainers and rescue dogs plenty, but ive genuinely never seen a faster, more steady improvement. my dog is a gentle lover boy and he was treated with nothing but sensitivity and understanding from this company and trainer. for as long as i own dogs, ill be bringing them to GMK9!
