Guiding Canines

Guiding Canines was the best decision we have ever made for our dog! Our dog went through the 4 week board & train with Val last July. It was an extremely stressful decision to send our dog away to someone we didn't know but little did we know how transforming it would be. Our dog was overall great but had some issues with smaller dogs and cats. We sent her to Val and over the four weeks, we saw such growth. You get to meet with Val weekly and work with your dog on everything Val is teaching them. Val is extremely helpful and great at communicating, always quick to answer our questions and offers great tips to strengthen your relationship with your dog! Our dog now can walk by a cat without going crazy and can run off leash without us fearing she will run away. 10/10 recommend Guiding Canines to everyone I know.

Guiding Canines is fantastic. My dog Lily, a Belgian Malinois/Pitbull mix - is a ball of energy but very loving. I used to take her to day cares where she would board and I always worried about whether my dog was going to be okay, if there were going to be any issues and if she would get enough exercise. Lily did the board and train about a year ago and ever since, she has been much better in public, with other dogs and our training has significantly gotten better along with our relationship! We can now take her out in public and to places where she can be off leash. She listens to my commands and is all around a happier dog! Val and Caleb are great and Lily loves boarding with them, I never have to worry any more about whether she will be okay or if she is getting the exercise she needs. I highly recommend Val and Caleb and Guiding Canines! We are so confident in having Lily off leash and in every day life!

My dog Rocky went through the 4 week board and train with Val back in 2023. We have also attended some of the group sessions she started offering this past year. I can honestly say that without Val's help, I probably would have had to re-home my dog. He was found on the street at around 8 weeks old and quickly became a handful and I wasn't sure if I could do it. She helped so much and continues to do so. Val and her husband Caleb are two of Rockys favorite people and he loves to go there when I'm out of town. I've never been fond of the idea of boarding at a facility that will keep him in a crate all day and only let out to go to the bathroom. With Guiding Canines he gets to play with her dogs and always comes home exhausted!! I also love that she sends me photos and videos while he is there. Some of his best pics were taken at her house 😆 Val is great! She's honest, down to earth and so easy to talk to. She takes your concerns seriously and explains what works and what might not work for your dog. I don't know what we would do without her!! I would recommend Guiding Canines to anyone looking for help training their dog!
