*Updated Review. It is now just past two years of working with this company and I have never boarded or trained ANYWHERE else. I’ve recommended to my father who got board and train, neighbors, colleagues and friends. I’m so luckily to have found this Guiding Pets and Parents. Fernando and Bellah are knowledgeable and incredible with animals. Original Review* 2023 I have been working with Fernando & Bella of Guiding Pets & Parents for almost a year now. When I first rescued my German Shorthaired Pointer she was unable to be off leash and out of sight or she would climb a fence instantly and be gone. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to handle her even though she was so sweet. After working with them doing the board & train program, my dog Daffy did a complete 180°. They guided me on how to be a better pet parent and to stick to the training routine. It’s especially tough for sporting dogs because they are SO high energy and not the easiest to train, but they did amazing I’ve also used the boarding service, I love that they offer training as an “add on” as opposed to my dog running wild at another “doggy day camp”. Daffy has boarded atleast 15 times from overnight stays to almost 2 week stays. Fernando will communicate with you during board & train and update you with pictures. It’s always hard for me to leave on vacation or a work trip, but knowing my dog is safe, happy & cared for makes all the difference. 100% recommend!

Fernando and Izahbellah are both fantastic and we are super glad we had our pup trained with them versus the other trainers in the area. Not only were both Fernando and Izahbellah very competent at training, but they were very friendly and are clearly dog lovers themselves and they treated our pup as if it were their own and that was certainly appreciated on our end as our dog is very much like our child. We opted for the private lessons in our home so that we can get trained on how to train our pup where our dog's problematic behaviors exist. Especially outside where there are 1,000's of distractions for our dog. In the end, after four sessions in our home, our dog is much, much, better behaved and after some additional work on our end, we will be able to take our pup for walks which was not an option before as our dog pulls and over-reacts to all other dogs in the neighborhood and is overall very difficult. The difference in our pup's behavior is now like night and day. Tanks guys!

This is the BEST and I mean The BEST dog training school in Southern California! I took my Giant Schnauzer and Border Collie here for the two week train and board. The dogs when I dropped them off didn’t even know how to sit, they barked at everyone that walked by when I was waking them. Now I can walk them anywhere off lease and they’re unbothered. They stay by my side or stay where I place them until given the command that it is ok to leave that spot. Izabellah the trainer is amazing and would highly recommend. She has great customer service and most importantly she LOVES dogs 🐾!
