Gulf Coast K9 Dog Training

Jill and her team are absolutely fantastic and the best at what they do. My wife and I could not be happier with the results. We have a 2 year old Black and Tan coonhound mix. On top of having endless energy, he was reactive to other male dogs and had extreme anxiety. From being put in his crate and even car rides he would bark and whine uncontrollably. He jumped on guests, counter surfed and treated our house like a dog agility course. Blu had already gone through training with another company and was labeled “untrainable”. Fortunately we found Gulf coast K9 through a friend. I reached out to Jill and told her what was going on and she recommended the 3 week program to get blu on track. I can say it was the best money we have ever spent. Jill’s communication is absolutely wonderful, she takes the time to return calls and answer any question you have. The facility is extremely clean and well kept. Blus manners inside and outside the house are awesome now. He has self control and more confidence in himself. He is now comfortable around other dogs and is able to walk on the leash like a gentlemen and not rip my arm out of the socket. Gulf coast K9 will give your dog all the tools and training needed to succeed, as well as the owner. We went to the facility the day before blu came home and went through a training course for ourselves with Jill, leaving there I felt comfortable to handle blu when he came home the next day. The day he did come home Jill delivered him and made sure we were comfortable with all aspects of his training and how to handle him in all possible situations inside and outside the house. I am so thankful for gulf coast k9. The only regret I have is not sending Blu to Jill and her team sooner. Thank you so much Gulf coast k9.

For the past 6 weeks I've been working with Jillian and the team at Gulf Coast K9 Dog Training to help my rescue pup, Bruce, with a pretty serious case of stranger danger. At drop-off Bruce displayed his fear and leash reactivity when first meeting Jillian, and I could not be happier to report that after 3 weeks of board and train, follow up training, and ongoing group classes, Bruce has gained so much more confidence. Not only can I comfortably handle Bruce on walks where he sees other people and dogs without fearing he will pull, growl, or show other signs of leash reactivity, you can tell Bruce is gaining much more confidence in our typical routine and even in new situations. Just as important, every time Bruce and I have seen Jillian or another member of the GCK9 team, he's always been so happy to see them! I believe this is a testament to the GCK9 team taking the time to learn each dog's personality and never forcing a dog into a situation where the dog is scared. The entire GCK9 team truly cares about helping every dog and owner to become more confident and learn new skills for a happy and healthy life together. I will be forever grateful to Jillian and everyone at GCK9 for all their time and dedication to helping Bruce. As you can see in the picture, Bruce (on the right) has become a big fan of Jillian and enjoyed walking at the park with a new friend, Mayhem! Bruce and I look forward to continuing to work with GCK9 in group classes and much more in the future!

I found out about Gulfcoast K9 from a neighbor. They own a large German Shepard puppy that was super energetic and totally out of control. They said they were placing the puppy in a boarding/training program. When the pup returned I noticed an amazing transformation. He was completely under control. Obedience and play were totally managed. I immediately signed up my 9 month old Lab pup for the GC K9 training program. The rest is history.... I can take my Lab anywhere and put him in almost any situation and it’s because of the foundation that Jillian and Joe have provided us. They don’t just train your dog...they train you how to continue the training reinforcement process. They communicate well with dogs and their owners and it doesn’t stop with training. They gave me excellent advice about food, feeding, supplements and even travel. Jillian and Joe are a rare find in today’s world. I give them my highest recommendation.

Jillian and her team are amazing! We opted to board and train our two high energy min pins, one of which is deaf. They had every bad manner you could think of and I thought for sure this was not going to work. I was completely wrong, they are like brand new dogs but with their same fun and loving attitude. The facility is great and the follow up lessons really help train the owner moreso then the dogs :) I would highly recommend Gulf Coast K9!
