Gulf Coast K9 Dog Training

GCK9 is an excellent facility led by a phenomenal trainer. Jillian is able to handle dogs that most trainers cannot or will not train, in a way that is ethical and fair to the dog. I came across GCK9 as a detection K9 hander looking to get into the sport of PSA with my GSD. She has been instrumental in helping me evolve as a trainer and turned his functional obedience into something flashy & enthusiastic by helping me re-shape my marker system and handling. She fosters an environment of trainers that can work together, share ideas, troubleshoot and cheer each-other on, this is not always easy to find in the world of working/sport dogs and something to be proud of.

Jillian is hands down one of the best trainers I have had the privilege of working with. She cares to a fault about the dogs in her care as well as teaching the clients that go along with those dogs. She was a mentor of mine and I couldn’t have asked for someone better. Not only has she been doing this for a while but she still is a student of her own craft. She is always attending seminars, hosting people, learning from others in the industry, and challenging herself to be a better trainer day in and day out. The training community is lucky to have her. If you have the chance to work with her don’t walk, run and sign up as fast as possible. You will be in amazing hands!

Best in business. Jillian is an outstanding dog trainer and what sets her apart from her counterparts is that she also is a former educator. With a Master's degree in education, Jillian excels at communicating canine training concepts to people! Dogs and people don't think and/or learn in the same way. Jillian can bridge that gap and help the owner/handler understand better how a dog learns and how best to communicate with it. With two working dogs, Jillian has enriched my understanding of how to communicate properly with my dogs but most importantly, she taught me how to have FUN with my dogs and unlock all of their best potential so we can all live our best lives.
