Gungho Dog Training

Came all the way from California! I was researching a place for my 5 year old GSP to train and board while I was going to be in the area for work and some vacation. I reached out to Cody and his team and they were personable and responsive from the start. I’ve never left my dog with a trainer or at a boarding facility as he’s usually by my side 24/7. I was nervous and googled all places within a few hour radius. Gungho was the only one I directly reached out to pursue and absolutely happy I did. I have a guilty feeling for loving my dog more after he trained with Cody and his team. My GSP is loving the boundaries that were set along with freedom he has gained by establishing better trust which has created a more fun and stimulated bond throughout our everyday activities.

My pup Cooper did a month of board and train through Gungho. When we dropped him off, he was pulling on the leash, jumping, and having a hard time listening. At the end of the month, we picked him up and he's a totally different dog! Cody did an amazing job with his training. As I type this, Cooper is laying nicely in a spot while his favorite kitty walks around him. He also did really well at the beach with a ton of distractions around him. He is no longer jumping or pulling on the leash while walking with him! We are very pleased with the training Cody did with him. Highly recommended!!

If we could give Cody and staff more stars we would!! My dog Finn, and I did a one hour puppy class. That needed up turning into a two hours class. Cody went out of his way to make sure everyone’s questions got answered. He gave us great obedience tips and tricks. A few weeks later he even followed up with us. I appreciate his personal touch of making us feel like we are apart of his services even thought he offered a free class. His love and attention to details of dogs make you feel comfortable and trusting in him. I look forward to working with Cody and staff on the future!

As our Akita approached her first birthday (and 100lbs), she became increasingly unruly. Pulling on the leash, refusing to get into the car, barking at neighbors, acting too rough with other dogs, and zero recall. We were skeptical that Cody and team would be able to curb the behavior of this notoriously stubborn breed, but they did just that! After a month at Gungho, our pup is calmer, following commands, and altogether easier to manage. So impressed with Cody’s ability to work with our dog and us to deliver these amazing results. Highly recommend!

Had a very good experience. The training with my 2yr old german shepherd made a huge improvement. I went for an hour session with Cody, just within that time frame already seeing such a huge difference. I, myself, learned a lot. For example, the importance in techniques as well as the importance of timing the corrections. It was a lot to learn and the timing and paying attention to how my dog reacts. Overall, very informative and the training helped a lot.
