FirstBarkCody took such great care of our dog Bella. He made great strides with her and helped us so much! He took her on knowing she showed aggression towards people and gave her the confidence she needed to not be so scared! I would recommend him to anyone who needs a dog trainer!

We call him the dog whisperer. Cody has an innate understanding of and connection with dogs. He hunt trained our Spinone with a gentle but firm hand that exceeded our expectations. We know most dogs that go to him, including hunting breeds, are pets first. He will do no harm to your dog. Instead he’ll give you back a happier, better trained and adjusted family member.

Our yellow lab puppy Bo was so strong, powerful and all over the place at 6 months of age we knew we had to get some professional help with training. And then came Cody-to-the-Rescue! Cody worked with Bo on both basic obedience and introduced him to hunting. Since Bo has been home we have seen MAJOR changes in his behavior. He now comes when called, sits and stays for lengths of time, heals on walks, sleeps in a crate and not our bed, and has stopped jumping up on people. This has been life changing for our family to have a big dog that is learning and responding to the training. We still work at it with him everyday, our consistency is just as important as his. I have to say a big thank you to Cody for giving Bo extra consideration and implementing some new tactics to deal with Bo’s anxiety. Some trainers may have given up on Bo and you didn’t! It was quite the opposite, you took him under your wing. Thank you!!!
