FirstBarkDavid is wonderful. I don't know what I would have done without his training! Piper is now a dog I can take everywhere with me and she is so well behaved. I can't say enough good words!

We are a family owned business serving New Braunfels and the surrounding areas. We offer quality K9 training at an affordable price. Lessons are conducted in-home and/or at pet-friendly locations around town, depending on your goals and where your dog is at in the training process. We work with all breeds and training can begin as early as 12 weeks old. Training techniques include both operant and classical conditioning techniques, putting the emphasis on teaching and rewarding, not punishment. Thank you for helping our new addition to the family Ace. Gutter Hund was helpful from the moment we brought home our puppy at 8 weeks. We had to wait till he was fully vaccinated and at least 4 months to start the training sessions. David calmed my daughter by answering all her questions on numerous occasions and brought relief to her as she was overwhelmed with the responsibilities of training/owning a small puppy , months before we had our first training lesson. David was hands down awesome!!! Glad we found him!! Can’t wait to continue our unlimited group training sessions !!!

My husband and I have a very energetic, often times stubborn, 2.5 year old lab. Our pup had basic commands like, sit and stay, but he did not walk on a leash well and did not have good manners. Since working with David, our dog’s leash skills have improved tremendously! We have learned how to heel, greet people at the door appropriately, behave in a public setting and so much more. What I like most about David and that he also helped my husband and I break bad habits we had that attributed to our pups not so great behavior from before. Overall, if you’re looking for a trainer, I highly recommend David!
Opie is mini dachshund and he is usually super hesitant with new people but took an immediate liking to David. He was nice and helpful from walking me through all the steps and giving insight on topics and tasks for my puppy I never would have thought of! A great experience.
