Guter Hund K9 Training

My wife and I adopted our first dog in June (a 3 month old doberman). We had no experience training a puppy, so we called Guter Hund our first week. David worked around our schedule and came at 6:30pm to our first training. Our puppy immediately responded to him. David knew how to show her what the expectations were, which she immediately met. He patiently watched us work with our pup and and corrected us so we provided the consistency dogs need for training. Not only does he do home training, we did training sessions at Home Depot and a local park to work in distractions and real work scenarios. The best part of the deal is the bi-monthly group training where we work with other dogs present and David sets up exercises to challenge the dogs. While there, he commonly asks if we are experiencing any new problems and at home and offers advice on how to work with our dog.

I searched and searched to get the right training for Smokey our 9 month old Lab/Husky mix. I prayed God would guide me to the right trainer and he did. I am so pleased with the training David has done with Smokey, my husband and ME!. Who knew I needed so much training… When we first met David, Smokey was not friendly towards him but it only took a few minutes for David to win him over. For a very energetic puppy, Smokey quickly learned commands and has improved his attention tremendously. Both Smokey and I enjoy our walks more peacefully and enjoy taking him places. Before calling David, my 6 month old puppy Ernie and I seemed to be a lost cause. Training was frustrating and seemed to never work. I was about to give up before I came across Guter Hund. When I first saw the price, I couldn't believe it was so low for private, come to your house, on your own time, training sessions. Compared to other trainers, David's value can't be beat. Within 10 minutes of the first session, Ernie was already catching on and developing new skills. I couldn't believe it. I swear David is a dog whisperer. David also showed me how to properly train a dog. He taught me different techniques and skills that you can't learn online. As the weeks went on, Ernie became more and more obedient. The final test was at The Home Depot during our last session. What once was a disaster of jumping, pulling, and not listening, became a well behaved and obedient dog. I can't thank David enough for his hard work and showing me that with a little patience and time each day you can have a well trained dog. I can't wait to see what else Ernie can learn. My puppy Milo is a high energy dog—a border collie, Australian mix. I initially had a lot of issues with him listening to me and really felt that it was impossible for him to respect me and follow commands. David is professional, patient, and has been very honest with me. He taught me how to communicate with Milo and helped me understand how smart and obedient my puppy could be with proper training and commands.
