Hahn Family Farm

It saddens me to have to write this review. I can’t speak for any other services the Hahn Family Farm (Sean and Stephanie) provide but I can speak for the dog training they advertise. I found myself in a difficult situation. I rescued a dog from a bad situation that I needed help with boarding and training. I was clear that I needed boarding until she was adopted. They agreed to help me. They claimed they trained Emma and she was ready to be adopted then posted Emma for FREE on Craigslist. That is just irresponsible. They wanted to give Emma away without an application, home check or reference check. I had to step in to request all of those because it is the appropriate thing to do. A lovely young lady wanted Emma. I asked for an application, checked her references and Sean lied to me and said he did a home check when he didn’t. Emma went to the young lady who was no where near ready to take on a dog that was not properly trained. Stephanie promised her that Emma can always come back to them if she did not work out. A “trainer” should always stand behind their work. When the young lady phoned after several weeks and spoke to Stephanie about bring Emma back, Stephanie told her she had no room. I rescued Emma and will stand by her until she finds her perfect home. I had to find a new trainer and Emma and I had to start all over. We are in a better place with someone who knows how to train dogs. I would not recommend Sean and Stephanie for dog training. It was dumb to take my money not honest with me about their knowledge of dog training. Emma needed more than sit and stay. They slapped a shock collar on her and thought that was the cure all. Emma does not need a shock collar with the new trainer because she knows how to train Emma.
