Hakuna Matata Dog Care & Training, LLC

Our GSP Cash LOVES going back to Hakuna Matata. We recently went on a week long vacation and did not hesitate to send him back for here for boarding. He got daily walks, TONS of activity with other dogs and love from the crew. We are so thankful and appreciative of the people and their efforts to keep him safe and re-enforce all the wonderful training they helped us with his 1st round of training! We will remain coming back forever!

I can’t express how grateful I am for Michael, Joselyn, and the rest of the team for taking care of August, my 60-pound pit bull and helping with problem areas such as leash pulling and jumping. Michael and Grayson were so helpful in taking the time to express everything that August had learned the past two weeks when they dropped him off to me. He will definitely be back for day care and boarding to reinforce training and to hang out with his friends!

Words cannot express how happy we are with our big boy’s training and growth at Hakuna Matata Dog Care & Training, LLC! From the time we dropped him off we felt at peace, even though our hearts broke for leaving him for a two week overnight training. Michael and his entire training staff posted and sent daily videos/pictures of Lee’s progress. He also welcomed any questions we had and was quick with responses, suggestions, etc. On Lee’s graduation day, Michael spent several hours at our home going over EVERYTHING in detail and example and even worked with our other 2 dogs to help with transition. This is a lifetime commitment and consistency is a must but we are so grateful to Hakuna Matata for establishing the foundation for Lee’s success!! FIVE STARS don’t seem enough🥰🐶🐾❤️

I sent my 4 year old female pitbull, Ripley, to Hakuna Matata for the two week board and train with Michael. Before I sent her, she was anxious, didn’t get along with most other dogs and was leash reactive. During her time with them she was able to socialize with other dogs and had so much fun. She’s been home for nearly a month and I’m able to relax and genuinely enjoy taking her on walk. They gave me so many updates on her progress and really invested in her rehabilitation. I’ve been sending her to daycare with them when I go into the office and have boarded her with them when I was out of town for a weekend. She’s always excited when I go to drop her off and the prices are great. Highly recommend to anyone looking to either rehabilitate or just train their pup. I will absolutely be using them again if and when I get another dog in the future.

There are not enough incredible things I can say…we LOVE everyone at Hakuna Matata! Our now 1 year old male golden retriever, Harvey, did the 2 week board and train program back in March when he was about 9 months old. Harvey is so strong and easily distracted…this made simple walks and off leash opportunities very stressful for us. He would pull us down the road and was regularly distracted by anything and everything outside. As with all puppies, his energy was very hard to manage sometimes and he was constantly overstimulated. We did basic commands with him at home, but were out of our scope when it came to all of his other behaviors. We heard about Hakuna Matata from a work friend and began our research. Harvey is like our son and we love him so much, so there was no chance we were going to just trust anyone with him. We were so impressed with Joselyn and Mike during our phone consultation - their knowledge and passion for what they do is so evident and after just one call, I knew they would care for him well. During his board and train program, we got numerous updates throughout the day along with photos and videos to show his progress. Joselyn and Mike were both so responsive and answered all of our questions and concerns. When Mike brought him back to our house at the end of the program, he spent very intentional time with us walking through what Harvey had learned and how we, as his people, can best support and reinforce his training. Harvey was a completely different dog, in the best way. It has completely changed our relationship with him, but he absolutely still kept his silly and goofy side. (I was always a little weary that he would become a robot dog, but that was not AT ALL the case.) Mike and Joselyn are open to texts when we’ve had questions on how to redirect a specific behavior. Harvey now boards there when we go out of town and gets lots of love, play time, and reinforcement! Harvey is our whole world and there is no one we trust more than Hakuna Matata. We truly cannot recommend them more.
