My experience with Hakuna Matata has been amazing so far. I found this place through my two coworkers who said it was life changing and worth it . I was so nervous leaving my baby, Nala for the first time for two whole weeks. I was so scared she was going to be depressed the entire time. I got daily updates on her progress and videos/pictures from Mike. He was straightforward and honest. When Nala graduated Mike spent 7 hrs educating me about Nala and her specific needs. We went uptown Charlotte to practice as well. My first walk after training was a complete 360. I had never been able to go out with my dog in public like this. Even after training they provide training for life. 10/10 recommend. It’s worth the investment.

I took my 8 year old cattle dog and 5 month old husky mix here and they both have improved tremendously! The daily updates on their status and seeing them play with other dogs made the experience worth all the time they were away. You can tell they really care about the dogs wellbeing and their improvement while in their care. I recommend them to everyone I know with dogs that might need some help learning obedience and commands.

So thankful for Michael, Joselyn, and the team at Hakuna Matata! I sent my new 2-year-old rescue pup, Gina, for the 2 week boarding and training program and cannot be happier about her progress. The frequent updates and photos/videos throughout her training helped ease some of my own discomfort with her being away. With their help and care, Gina is thriving and living her best life. She has made immense progress with socialization, commands, and leash manners. Having the opportunity for reinforcement through boarding and day camp is an added bonus! Thanks to Hakuna Matata, it’s now evident to others what I knew all along that Gina is a sweet dog that is deserving of love and a chance at the best life possible ❤️

I literally couldn’t say enough about Hakuna Matata. I have puppy #3 heading to them for training because of the work they do. The last puppy we had trained, Camila, is a pit/boxer mix so to say she has high energy is an understatement. They continued to work with me after training to guarantee results and make sure I am knowledgeable when reinforcing commands. They care so much about your baby’s success and I couldn’t imagine not having my dogs trained by them. Our pups are also OBSESSED with daycamp. They love going and come back home so tired! I get pictures throughout the day of them with friends and it is the cutest thing!

We absolute love the crew at Hakuna Matata!! Our dog Doug is a super sweet but shy guy and they have helped us build his confidence. He has become quite the social butterfly since going to training! We love that Hakuna Matata is not only for training but also day camp and boarding. It’s great to be able to continuously reinforce training behaviors but to know he’s in great care when we’re out of town! Could not recommend them more!
