Highly recommend Hakuna Matata for training. I decided to put my dog, Comet, in the two-week board & train program when moving to Charlotte, and it was the best decision I could have made for him. I used to have so much anxiety taking him outside because of his reactivity to other dogs and people. Now he is much more calm and obedient after finishing the board & train program. He learned so much from it. I decided to also start bringing him to Hakuna Matata for daycare as well. I can tell that they genuinely love and care about Comet, and he absolutely loves going there. I also really like that they continue the training at daycare as well which is so wonderful and helpful. It's also nice getting pictures of Comet at daycare playing with his friends, as well as videos of him training. Overall, this place is amazing and I couldn't recommend it enough.

We just got our dog back from a three-week training program at Hakuna Matata and we couldn’t be happier with the results! After considering several options, we were impressed by Hakuna Matata’s approach. What set them apart was their commitment to ongoing support through daycare, boarding, and general inquiries. Their ability to quickly identify and address our dog’s growing issues, such as her lack of response to common commands, unfriendly behavior towards other dogs, and being grouchy towards our children, was truly remarkable. In addition to addressing her behavioral concerns, Hakuna Matata also trained her in essential skills and off-leash techniques. We can’t wait to take her with us to local events without any worries. Our dog is the same sweet and loving dog she was before, but with core skills and more attentiveness than before. The staff at Hakuna Matata was incredibly supportive and responsive throughout her stay. They answered all our questions promptly and kept us well-informed about her progress. Their communication was exceptional, and we felt confident that our dog was in good hands. Michael and Joselyn, the owners of Hakuna Matata, are expert trainers and very involved in the training process. They’ve built an amazing business with a fantastic team. The facility itself is impressive, providing a safe and nurturing environment for our dog. We knew that she would be well-cared for and receive the best possible training during her stay. Overall, we are incredibly grateful for the positive impact Hakuna Matata has had on our dog’s life. She has truly transformed for the better, and we are so glad we chose them!

I cannot recommend Mike and the team at Hakuna Matata enough. My pitty just completed the board and train program, and the results after 2.5 weeks of training are miraculous. She’s the same amazing dog but now happily accepts and listens to boundaries, which I could not establish on my own. I also learned so much about dog psychology and behaviors — I now feel properly equipped to handle all different types of situations with humans and dogs. Your fur baby will be in the best of hands with this team!

I am so happy with the training that Mike gave to my dog Ziggy , just in one week that I left him, when I picked him up it was another dog, listening, obedient responding to all the commands its was an awesome experience! And Mike is such a great instructor with the dog and the owners… he help you how to understand your dog… I recommended the whole team to anybody who needs a trainer 10/10 Carlos & Myriam Sanchez
