At first I was skeptical, but was told to follow the weekly trainings, and homework, and I would be happy with the outcome. Well, the results have been amazing. Mercy had issues with jumping on family, which still occasionally occurs, and being fearful around people, especially on walks. I am using the e-collar, and do a tone sound to have her focus on me when people/dogs approach while walking. However, if she doesn't listen, she does get the stem with a verbal correction. This issue has pretty much disappeared. She has also been told "to place" whenever I see someone approaching the house, or if she decides to watch us at the dinner table. It just blows my mind that all I say is place, and there she goes. Training is a continual process, as if teaching a child to read. If you expect overnight results, well, look at your spouse...how trained are they???? I told Heather that I was going to get a e-collar for him! Heather used a collar, along with a positive reinforcement approach, and was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. She provided us with clear, easy-to-understand techniques and the 'why' behind them, which was critical, and which helped us feel more confident in our ability to train Mercy. If you're looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and effective dog trainer, Heather is the one to call!"
