I cannot recommend Denise and her Hansen Kennels training facility highly enough. She is an absolute gem in the dog training world. From behavior modification to obedience training, sport work, detection work and beyond, Denise’s expertise covers it all. She is one of the few people in the world I trust wholeheartedly to send my dogs for boarding/training, knowing they’ll receive the best care possible. Growing up with a father who was a breeder and trainer of champion sporting dogs, I vetted a number of trainers and training facilities carefully before selecting Hansen Kennels. Denise has an incredible gift for working with dogs. She is patient, knowledgeable, and has a deep understanding of canine behavior. Whether it’s refining a dog’s obedience or pushing them to excel in more specialized areas, Denise approaches each training session with a level of care and precision that you don’t see every day. She’s truly passionate about the work she does, and it shows in the results. Her facility is top-notch as well. It’s clean, well-maintained, and features 15 acres with walking trails. The kennels are safe, comfortable, and spacious at 6x10. Water is available in multiple areas, including a 50 gallon water truck on the training field, to ensure the dogs are always hydrated. And, Denise is sure to remind us often, while training, to water our dogs. It’s clear that Denise puts a great deal of thought and effort into the environment she’s created for the dogs. Denise’s commitment to responsible breeding practices is another reason why I trust her so much. What’s more, Denise goes above and beyond, even working with rescue organization dogs to provide training, vetting and care before they find their forever home. The dogs she works with are truly lucky to have her guidance. For me, we wouldn’t trust anyone else, knowing we have Denise. Denise’s facility and services are second to none, and I can confidently say she is a true leader in the dog training world. We have boarded and trained our dogs with her. They come back home happy, relaxed, and behaving even better than before. The next time they see Denise for training, they act like she’s a long-lost friend that they are so excited to see again and again. Seeing both our dogs reactions to her, shows us how much they love and respect her. She will teach you how to get the same results. Denise doesn’t just help owners train their dogs – she helps them build a lifelong bond with them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We can’t say enough great things about Hansen Kennels! They have cared for our two Old English Bulldogs ever since they were puppies, and now at 5 and 6 years old, we still wouldn’t trust anyone else. Every time we go on vacation, we know our dogs are in the best hands. Hansen Kennels is loving, attentive, and truly treats our pups like their own. Our bulldogs always come home happy, healthy, and well cared for. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing they’re not only safe, but genuinely loved while we’re away. DEAD DOG!!!!! We went on vacation for two weeks this year around the beginning of June. When I called Denise to ask if she had any openings to board the dogs overnight for two weeks, and she said she was available and reserved spots for us, but never asked for our names. A week or two later, we visited with her and her training area to see if it was a good fit for my two dogs to stay. She seemed knowledgeable and experienced in training dogs, so we figured it would be okay to board my two dogs there for two weeks. When we dropped the dogs off for two weeks, we provided her with heart worm/tick monthly medications for both dogs to take on the first day of June while we were gone. We told her in person and wrote down on a neon large colored paper pinned to one of the dog bags. Both dogs were perfectly healthy and had all of their shots. She promised to send updated photos daily, and she had our email and phone number to contact us. Two days before we were supposed to pick the dogs up from her, we had only received two photos of one dog for the entire two weeks! I got an email from the vet saying that one of my perfectly healthy dogs was brought into the vet because SHE HAD DIED. The vet said my dog smelled so bad that they had to light candles in the visit room after they took my dog out. Denise did not know what happened. She said the dog had collapsed on a walk early that morning. We sent my dead dog into UMN to get an autopsy, and the only thing they definitively found was that my dog was dehydrated! Not only that, after we got back home from vacation, I found both of my dog's monthly medications still in their travel bags, which should have been given 3 days before my dog died. This means Denise did not even give them their medications at all. My remaining dog had anxiety about leaving the house and traveling. She was also very thirsty and constantly drinking water the next two days after she was picked up. Although Denise did not charge us and offered to pay for the autopsy, this does not negate the fact that the dogs were neglected to an extent. DO NOT SEND YOUR DOG HERE!!!!!!
