FirstBarkHappy dog institute had been wonderful in group training for me and my puppy. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and their classes are well structured. Lots of supplementary information is provided as "homework" for the dogs and owners. I have been very pleased, but not as much as my dog, as puppy class is one of her favorite things in the world.

Starting in a small pet shop holding group classes we expanded to our own facility in 2021! Work with one of our certified trainers today in either private sessions or group classes. We pride ourselves in staying up-to-date with science backed approaches. We are open by appointment only and look forward to working with you!

Where are the classes?
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! We offer most of our classes - including our puppy and adult classes at our new facility located at 7924 Sweet Iron Ct, Ste 109 Olympia, WA 98501 We have a few classes that we offer offsite as well: About Town, and Truffle Hunting are two offsite options

It's been almost 10 years since I personally last used Happy Dog Institute. I've referred many family and friends to them. I have a new puppy. I am thrilled to be learning from them again.

We’ve had a great experience with HDI, both with our last dog and with our new one. They have wonderful instructors and classes. We have most recently been working with Paul and Ashley on reactivity and barrier-frustration issues with our new pup, and they both have a wealth of experience and are so generous with sharing it. We also really enjoyed the intro to scent work class with Heather. We just wish there were more classes available!
This class taught me how to work more effectively with my dog, and gave us skills that are helping with distraction and reactivity. I feel more confident that as we keep practicing these skills my dog will be able to handle triggers so we can be out in the world without worrying as much that he'll freak out.
