Hi J B, I apologize that you have not had a good experience in our group classes. In the 2022 winter class sessions, which I believe you are referring to, we have held all make-up classes for the 6 session classes. We understand when multiple classes are rescheduled due to snow/bad weather conditions for outdoor training this time of year, and new dates must be added to the calendar for make-up that this sometimes affects the owner's schedules. We are always communicative and accomodating in these scenarios, and this session was no exception with multiple emails being sent out and communication directly to students in person at class. When you were unable to attend due to changes in schedule, we offered you an individual make-up free of cost, or entry into a different group class session with a schedule that might work better for you. You declined and expressed that you had actually missed some classes due to your busy schedule and that you did not need make-up. Group classes are not always the best option for dogs who may struggle to stay motivated, as it is a very busy environment and the instructor's attention is divided. We recommend that dogs go through individual training or have prior experience before group training, if possible. But, food is a primary reinforcer for all animals, and it is a fact that using food and positive reinforcement does work for all dogs, while we understand dogs have varying levels of interest in certain foods, and we utilize many other reinforcers with dogs in our programs - Dogs that are uninterested in food or other motivators such as toys/praise in a class environment may need more work outside of a busy environment to build necessary foundation skills and relationship.
