My 9-month-old pup stayed with Steve for a week-long board and train and it was a fantastic experience. I was so impressed with Steve’s communication, knowledge, and commitment to positive training methods. He spent a great deal of time with me working through problem issues so that I could continue the great work he did with my pup. He treated her like a member of the family during her stay, and I never had any doubt that she was in excellent hands. Happy Healthy Dog was perfect to help us train our 1.5 year old GSD/Golden Retriever Eddy. Steve taught us SO MANY helpful tools to not only give us a well rounded pup, but target some of the specific issues we were wanting to work on, including leash pulling, barking, etc. Steve was so thorough and answered any questions we had with specific training recommendations. It helped us build our confidence as dog owners knowing that we were training Eddy properly and have Steve as a resource going forward. You can tell how much he loves what he does! With our growing puppy we knew we needed to get good training ASAP, and Steve was exactly what we needed! We opted for the training sessions where he taught our puppy, and us, how to create good habits and set healthy guidelines and boundaries based on our individual goals.
