Our girl was so overwhelmed with fear in every moment that she wasn’t being a dog. She was incredibly reactive to new noises and people and we had taken her to other trainers who wouldn’t take her because of her fear. We were recommended to HGD and it was truly the best thing we could have done for her. She has learned how to be cognitive and how to handle stress without getting overwhelmed. She has learned how to be a normal dog and roll in the grass and play, and she is even calm enough to take on walks in the neighborhood. Madi is truly incredible and cares so much, and was more than willing to help us every step of the way. We’ve had her home for two weeks now and her transformation has been incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough - their staff truly treat the dogs like their own and are so kind and understanding in every situation. Our girl has grown so much and we are so grateful.

Happy Gentle Dogs has changed mine and Bears life’s. Bear suffers with extreme anxiety, separation anxiety and overall low confidence in himself. Bear could never be left home alone outside of his kennel because he would completely tear through walls & When left alone in the kennel Bear would injure himself & NEVER settle. I had tried anything and everything to try to help with this, prescription meds, Store bought med, calming vest, mental stimulation, physical activities, calming diffusers, all the “tricks” you name it I had tried it. I decided I needed help with Bear. I dropped Bear off & he stayed at Happy Gentle Dogs for a total of 8 weeks. After 6 weeks Bear came home for 1 week and it was decided that some things needed to be worked through & tweaked due to me living in an Apartment. So Bear went back to Happy Gentle dogs for 2 more weeks. There flexibility and willingness to work through things is something I’m thankful for. Throughout his stay there the communication was always great. Anytime I would check in on Bear the response was always within a timely manner. Madi was Bears trainer and she treated myself and Bear with such care. Madi made me feel understood with my struggles with Bear and guided us through the whole process with such compassion & understanding. Once bear came home after the 8 weeks & using the tools they provide you with, our lives have been changed. Bear now settles in his kennel. Bears little nose is healed & he is no longer injuring himself. Bears confidence is now there. His appetite has increased. He’s gaining weight. We are still in the process and using the tools & following the schedule that Happy Gentle Dogs has provided us but it’s now been almost 3 weeks of Bear being back home and the difference is astonishing. I was recommended to Happy Gentle Dogs from Mutts and Mayhem. I had a dog that was aggressive towards one of the other dogs. I say had because now I have a great dog. Happy Gentle Dogs worked with him and he isn’t aggressive towards the other dogs. Dale and Madie were great showing me and my wife on how to handle Axle. They did such a great job, we sent another one of our dogs for having anxiety due to being stolen from us a couple of years ago. I want to thank Dale and Madi for all the work they have put in with Laila. Laila was reactive and fearful and I had no idea how to help her. Taking her out to Happy Gentle Dog Place has been the best thing I could have done for her and my family. We have watched Laila become a secure Happy Gentle Dog!! I’ve known Dale for 10 years, and he’s helped me with dogs of every personality: Moses, a fearful stray who found joy again; Frankie, who needed gentle communication; and Amos, a sweet-but-sassy pup who learned to stay out of trouble. I already thought Dale was the best — and then Tracy came along and somehow made him even better! Her patience, kindness, and knowledge are unmatched. She even helped my mastiff, W., work through what was becoming a real aversion to food. Their team, including Madi (incredible with enrichment, training, and care), pours heart into every dog.
