About Harmony Dog Training
Harmony Dog Training is my dream job! I get to work with dogs every day, learning, laughing and playing while discovering new and interesting canine talents. I created Harmony Dog Training in 2011 after moving to Western NY from CT. After decades of several professional careers, it was time to move out to the country and start to design a new one. My true talent is teaching. I love to teach people about their dogs and watch them begin to start a new form of communication. Harmony Dog Training was created to help people and dogs to live harmoniously together. My services include Dog Obedience, Rally, Dog Agility, puppy social, Dog conformation, Breed handling and Professional dog handlers.

Hello- I’m looking for a certified Therapy Dog evaluator in Niagara County/Erie County. Is this a service you provide, and if not can you recommend a person/place?
I am not a Therapy Dog Evaluator and I'm not sure who is right now. I'd go to the Therapy Dog International website and ask who does it in Western NY. I always worked with an evaluator who was with TDI, but she has passed away and you are the first to ask since then. If you want Therapy Dog prep, I offer a 3 session program that goes over all the tests with the intent that you will know what's asked on the test with time to perfect your skills if you need more work. I went there to have my dogs evaluated for their interest in barn hunt with Margot. I appreciated the fact that she did evals to make sure it was a good fit for the dog. The dog I was expecting to love it was terrified of the rat and my shy one was trying to open the tube doors. It's a smaller training site but easy to find. Bring your own crate as they only have a couple available on site.
Karen is an excellent trainer for show dog handling. So much so that I drive two hours for a 1 hour private lesson. During the pandemic I even used her for Zoom lesson. I'm amazed at what she sees. Highly recommended.
