I have a two year old Pitbull/Lab mix who has severe anxiety and reactivity issues. We had worked with another trainer before which made a small difference, but not enough as he bit one of my friends. That was the final straw so I called Luis and I’m so glad I did! He is excellent with working with dogs and their owners to help with behavior modification. Having a reactive dog is no easy fix, however we have seen such an increase in Tucker’s confidence as well as a decrease in his reactivity. He now does very well with ignoring new people and working through stressful situations. We still have a bit of a way to go but I am very thankful for Luis and seeing the amount of improvement my boy has made!

About a month ago Maddy and I contacted Luis and his team at Harmony k9 for Moose, our 5 month old Aussie mix. Moose struggled with reactivity on the leash towards strangers and other dogs after he had a bad experience with an off leash husky. Ever since that bad encounter, walks and potty breaks were stressful events for him and us. Rob and I have never dealt with any dogs who had really bad reactivity issues so we met with Luis to help modify his behavior. Together, we decided that a three week board and train would be the best option for Moose. During Moose’s stay, Luis made sure to provide us plenty of updates on his progress (the good and the bad). We really appreciated how honest Luis was with us because we knew there were going to be some days where learning for Moose was a struggle (especially since he’s such a stubborn and firm dog). After we got Moose back from Luis, we were shocked at how much progress Luis and his team made with Moose. His manners with people and other dogs were exponentially better and he wasn’t freaking out as badly. We can now take him out to high traffic areas like Home Depot without worrying he will flip out. We are extremely proud of Luis, the harmony k9 team, and Moose :)

Id like to start off by saying.. had I not booked lessons with Luis, I would still be wondering if I’d ever be able to hike with my dogs again. One of them let alone both. As an every day hiker it’s not the same without my best friends. They had started fighting so often, seeming to be protective over me with one another. Fighting became so frequent I had to separate them. I never could’ve imagined the hurt of deciding that I might have to rehome one of my boys after having them both since birth. Leo (4) being Reactive on leash with any sight of movement went for his first lesson three weeks ago and we’ve since been on multiple hikes with distractions.. on the THIRD lesson… we took a walk around the block with Leo and one of Luis’ pups Nala. It was a huge step forward for us! …no screaming like a dinosaur and absolutely ZERO pulling.. Luis is extremely helpful in directing the way commands should be given which I needed due to a HUGE loss of my confidence in myself with my dogs. He also could read Leo the moment he stepped foot through the door which showed me instantly I could trust in Luis. As it’s not everyday someone knows what your dog will do before they even do it! I’m looking forward to more classes with both of my boys to get them on the road to being the best father and son duo again.
