Havenlea Dog Training Centre

I started at Havenlea with my blue Merle toy Aussie Pippa, for companion training, then 2 years later my red Merle toy Aussie Hairy Potter completed companion training. Both were great experiences. We then began Agility training and that also has been such a positive experience. Georgia is extremely knowledgeable about the fine points of agility for the handler - making the difference in competition.

I found Havenlea 4 years ago after trying chain store training with little to no results and very high training prices. After calling 5 local training businesses Georgia was one of two that called back. My puppy was too young to start due to vaccination be requirements but she was the only one that offered tips to help with some unwanted behavior until he could be fully vaccinated. I decided to register for classes and was a little nervous how he would be treated since he’s a pitbull terrier. She never treated him as if he was more aggressive than any other breed and never once suggested, as others have, “stronger” behavior control devises. That won me over and we have been students since 2020. My pup has completed companion/obedience classes, scent work workshops and is not in agility training and about to go to trials. She has forced me out of my comfort zone and to have more faith and trust in my pup 😁 . My new puppy, another pitbull terrier, is completely her companion training class and will be progressing to agility! She is reasonable priced and worth every penny!! I adopted a rescue dog that was trained at Havenlea and picked him up at this beautiful facility! My dog never pulls on leash and he has great manners in the house and around children. He’s best buddies with my toddler! Georgia has been a great dog training mentor that I can go to for advice about competing with my dog and advice about maintaining the good manners my dog came to me with. She can evaluate for AKC tricks titles and many other titles.

I am a corgi breeder and have been to many different trainers in the past and found Georgia two years ago. She has been by far the best trainer for us. She has worked with our four children and several of our dogs in both obedience and agility classes. The kids feel very comfortable with her methods and now are showing in local CPE and AKC shows. I highly recommend Georgia to anyone looking for a knowledgeable dog trainer!
