Rob, Ryan and Devon were amazing with my anxious australian shepherd. Having moved from a quiet farm to bustling Philly was a hard adjustment for my nervous senior dog. The trainers gave her the confidence to strut around the city and also helped strengthen our bond. It takes time and effort to achieve those results but hd dog training will lead you every step of the way and are always willing to go the extra mile to do what they can to help.

HD went out of there way (literally) as well as going the extra mile (also literally 800 miles) to help train some dog aggression issues I have been having with my older springer spaniel, Reo. We learned so much while they were hear. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. You can definitely teach older dogs new tricks and having a more peaceful relationship within the house and outside the house with other dogs. Thank you HD Dog Training!

Love Rob & Ryan!!!! I cannot thank them enough for them enough for the knowledge they have given me. I have a 5 y/o German Shepherd (Jax), who before HD dog training struggled with all types of anxiety & reactivity. Rob and Ryan have taught us how to communicate effectively with our pup and in turn have helped us create such a better relationship with Jax, and given us the ability to do things we never thought possible with him before. After our 8 sessions I know we are going to continue to work with Rob and build on top of the great foundation HD dog training has given us. Rob handled Jax with such ease and from the first lesson made huge strides with him. Mind you Jax is big, strong, super reactive Shepherd that had been banned from many a groomer, dog school, vet you name it. The community aspect of HD dog training is something I believe is worth mentioning as well. Bringing Jax around other dogs was always so stressful. To have such a great community of TRAINED dogs to proof off of and learn from is so unique, and helpful. Thank you to Rob & Ryan! You’ve changed our lives!

Rob is great and I highly recommend HD Dog Training. Before training, our dog, Myrtle, hated her crate, hated the car, and wasn’t great on walks. We also had a new baby and knew little about how to ease Myrtle into the transition of having a new family member, though she does have a gentle temperament. Myrtle got used to us being home so much during the pandemic that we felt like we could barely leave the house without coming home to lots of surprises from her. After training, Myrtle is much more confident and trusting of us and other people (she’s an anxious dog who we adopted a year ago when she was 2 years old). Now, she’s an excellent walker, she’ll go in her crate, and she’ll go in the car. She’s gentle and careful with the baby. We feel much more comfortable leaving her at home alone now, which felt unthinkable before training. Her training with basic commands has made her much more fun and easier to manage at home. For me, the most important thing to come out of this training experience with Rob is how much he taught me about living with a dog. During the 8 weeks that we were training with Rob we moved, and some of Myrtle’s old behaviors came back during that transition. However, thanks to training, my husband and I both knew how to get Myrtle back where we wanted her to be. At the end of all of this, I’m a much more confident dog owner, which is one of the aspects of this experience that has been the most valuable to me. Ryan is also great. He and Rob have taught the dog and humans in my household so much. I highly recommend them both. Thank you, guys, for teaching us so much that we’ll continue to use with Myrtle and any other dog we have in the future!
