Rob is a phenomenal trainer. My sweet pup, Jet, is a perfectly mannered dog inside, but take him outside and it's a whole different story. I was becoming very frustrated and walks were feeling more and more like chores. I dreaded taking the dog on a walk in a busy area or to a park or trail with lots of distractions. Since we started working with Rob, I have seen huge improvements. My dog no longer pulls me down the sidewalk or jumps on my neighbors. And if he does do those things (as we're not completed training yet), I now know how to handle it. Rob has been patient with me as I learned from scratch about dog behaviors and training. Now, I take my dog for a walk (not the other way around) and my pup has learned to be calm in new environments and situations involving with other dogs. I'm so glad I stumbled upon HD Dog Training first before wasting time and money with other trainers. Trust me - you will be too!

After meeting with countless trainers to help my rescued dog Tango with his aggression problems, we stumbled across HD Dog Training. Rob is an exceptional trainer with years of experience and knowledge under his belt. After our few sessions we saw positive behavioral changes in Tango which we did not achieve with others. By the first few sessions we noticed that tango was not aggressive towards other dogs he was just never introduced to them when he was a puppy (tango grew up tied to a tree outside his whole puppy life before we adopted him with little human and dog interaction). Other trainers responded by saying Tango is aggressive without even meeting him first and suggested the normal “board and train”. But not Rob, he gave Tango a chance and helped him be such a better dog and me be a better pawparent. Additionally, keeping Tango’s previous history in mind, Rob was really patient with Tango and always made sure our sessions were fun and engaging. Every time he sees Rob or when it’s time for training, Tango is super excited because he knows it’s training time. Rob truly cares about dogs and looks out for your dogs best interest and yours. We have nothing but amazing things to say about HD Dog Training! We reached out to Rob to get our puppy trained when he was about 5 months old. Bucky is a pit bull mix, very high energy and fun-loving. After doing our research and speaking with a couple of other trainers, we were extremely disappointed in the “pit bull stigma” that still surrounds dog training, especially in the city where many dogs are mixed breed. When we came upon Rob and HD Dog Training we immediately knew that he was the one we wanted to work with. Although Bucky does not have any aggression or temperament issues, we appreciated Rob’s commitment to working with ANY dog. We were confident that he would help us build a solid foundation for training, while also growing our relationship and bond with our dog. Rob’s enthusiasm about training is infectious, so Bucky always loves his sessions, whether virtual or in-person. We have noticed a huge difference in his confidence and personality since we began working with Rob. Our biggest issue was leash walking, since we live in a busy area of the city. I’m so proud of where Bucky has come, and in just a few sessions he is amazing on the leash and we truly enjoy taking him on walks. We say he is a completely different dog in an amazing way. Whenever we had any questions, concerns or issues Rob was just a text away. He encouraged us to reach out with videos and would get back to us quickly with honest feedback. This made is so much easier to deal with issues promptly, instead of having to wait until our weekly sessions.
