What method of training do you use?
I use positive reinforced methods of training. I employ my training methods contingent upon the L.I.M.A. (Least Intrusive and Minimally Aversive) Principle and the Premack Principle.

How long are your service programs?
The length of time in-person training is conducted with you, your dog, and the trainer is usually at a minimum of 5 weeks. Lessons are usually one hour and are once per week. The length of time for Behavioral modification training is contingent upon how much modification your pet is needing based on the outcome of the behavioral consultation. There is usually never a quick turn around with these types of cases as they take time to achieve results because a lot of times a pet has already had issues or bad habits for years before a trainer is contacted. The minimum length of time for board and train is usually about 3 weeks.

Great trainer! He helped my dog Argus with all of his basic skills as well as working on his confidence in social situations. He taught me so much about handling a very large Neapolitan Mastiff/Great Dane mix. I am very happy with everything he did for my dog, as well as building my confidence handling him in public. He is very knowledgeable and answered every question I asked. High recommend!!!

Ken was able to assess our dogs’ behavior and clearly explain that insecurity was a large part of the issue with one of them. He had a training plan in mind within minutes and was honest in telling me that it was going to require work on my part to resolve Beau’s separation anxiety, insecurity and discomfort which made him reactive/ over protective. We opted for a 10 week plan to meet weekly and I can’t begin to express how gratifying it is to see our much happier, mellow, better behaved boy. I feel much more relaxed and confident in taking both pups out together. Those who see them on a regular basis are commenting on the difference, especially in our Beau. I highly recommend Ken’s methods and expertise. I couldn’t have asked for a more patient and honest trainer.

Ken had to help me understand that repetition and consistency is key in dog training. At the time he started working with us, Buster was only six months old. Ken was very patient with me. I would definitely recommend Ken as a trainer. Training with a “bully” is a constant process and we are doing good.
