The length of time in-person training is conducted with you, your dog, and the trainer is usually at a minimum of 5 weeks. Lessons are usually one hour and are once per week. The length of time for Behavioral modification training is contingent upon how much modification your pet is needing based on the outcome of the behavioral consultation. There is usually never a quick turn around with these types of cases as they take time to achieve results because a lot of times a pet has already had issues or bad habits for years before a trainer is contacted. The minimum length of time for board and train is usually about 3 weeks.

He did solo training with Kena and hands on training with the both of us together. Which was a great idea so I would actually know what to keep doing in the future. He was always patient with us as we were both learners and we ended up leaving on the same page! Very knowledgeable in his field, we had a great experience!

Ken did a fantastic job training our GS Paris. We are up at West Point and can say we have the best behaved and trained dog in the neighborhood minus the military working dogs. She is disciplined enough to spend most of the time we are out off the leash. You won’t be disappointed.

I brought my rescue, Trixie, to Heart of Dixie for basic obedience private lessons. She had just shown up at my door and I wasn't prepared for home training. Ken made sure that I understood what to do at home and how to do it correctly. I am happy with the results and Trixie learned quickly.

We contacted Heart of Dixie Dog Training about sending Piper our Cavalier King Charles spaniel to obedience school. Ken came out and evaluated her and accepted her. She left with him that afternoon. The course of time she was there she learned the basic commands. Ken would call me and give me updates and after one week I went out to visit her and got to see what she was learning. I was well pleased. She stayed one more week and Ken would take her places, which was part of her training, to be able to follow commands out in everyday life. After the second week I picked Piper up and we had a review of what all she has learned and he also worked with me on how to give the commands. I was and still am very satisfied with her training. I highly recommend Heart of Dixie Dog Training for anyone wanting their dog to have some training by an experienced and professional animal lover.
