Susan is nothing short of amazing. We came to her with a foster fail from unknown origins who began demonstrating some alarming reactivity to cars, to the point I was scared to walk him. After one session, many check in emails and suggestions along the way (and regular working on it on our part) I have a dog I can confidently walk around our neighborhood without having a panic attack every time I see a car. Susan was patient, non-judgemental and spent so much time talking and emailing me through the best ways to address our dog's issues. Her approach to training most definitely has the dog's well being at the forefront. It's very clear she care about dogs and their humans as well.

Susan came to our house to teach us how to work with our new, high energy dog. She explained everything really clearly, demonstrated what we should do, and was a great doggy role model for us! She allowed us practice the technique of modifying our dog's behavior using treats. She demonstrated how to use treats successfully during walks to keep the dog's attention. After the lesson, Susan sent us a detailed summary including great videos illustrating all the concepts and expected results. She's amazing! really really good! With just two lessons we saw positive changes in our new dog's behavior. We would highly recommend her!!

Susan is a phenomenal dog trainer. She worked with our 2 basset hounds, a breed that is notoriously difficult to train, and we have had great results. It was incredibly convenient to have Susan visit us in our home, which I believe produced better results than meeting at a dog school. She had a great rapport with our dogs and they were very responsive to her. We will continue to use Susan to train our pups.

I'd give 10 stars if I could. Susan has been so thorough and detailed from before we first met! She's asked all the right questions to help us handle how WE want to train OUR dog. No one size fits all approach! She comes prepared to each lesson with numerous tools to tackle our issue at hand for that day, and follows up with such an in depth email there's no way we could forget any part of what we learned. She has helped us realize/remember that she's really training us on how to train our dog in between sessions and helps us remember realistic expectations for our dogs progress. We've gone from a really chaotic/reactive dog that's difficult to walk or keep focused on us, to a dog that even just today checked in with us and self regulated to sniffing around another dog! We've only been working with Susan for 3 training sessions over 4.5 months and our dog is totally different! We're able to spend much more time enjoying and loving him and less time frustrated with him! Best part of all it's so clear that Susan LOVES our dog and wants the most fulfilled life for him and us, so of course she'll love yours too! 20/10 recommend Susan for your training needs!
