FirstBarkWe highly recommend Susan! She helped us work out some challenges with our Goldendoodle puppy. She was flexible with time and met us in public spaces to work on his timidness, etc. Her prices are great and she follows up with helpful videos.

Susan is a wonder! As a first-time dog owner, I wanted to do everything right and had so many questions just days after rescuing my pup. She affirmed all the things I was doing well and helped us build a great foundation with positive approaches and communication. Susan is incredibly knowledgeable and has a patient, skillful way of training (mostly the human, really!). She readily shares videos, articles, and local resources to support continued success. She makes stressful and/or novel pup situations feel totally manageable! I'm so glad we found Susan and heartily recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate dog trainer.

Susan has been a delight to work with. She has met with us several times, at our home and at the dog park, to help us figure out how to have a more calm, well-behaved puppy. She is very positive and supportive of both the dog and the people trying hard to be more effective dog trainers! She has also been super responsive, answering follow-up questions we have had via email. At first I was a little skeptical of the positive reinforcement approach, but we have really made a lot of progress. I would wholeheartedly recommend Susan to anyone!
So wonderful to have a trainer that works with you to foster your strengths as a dog owner and gives you the tools to move forward. Her sense of humor is also a blessing.
Susan's kind and positive training gave me the tools to develop my ideal relationship with my dog, River. River has been by my side from college to scientific field work to cross-country road trips, and thanks to our work with Susan, I have had confidence in her ability to share in and enjoy my adventures.
