Before working with Melissa my dog Oakley was a nightmare on walks. He would pull, lunging at other dogs, growling at anyone that would come near him. He had a lot of anxiety when we left him home alone which caused him to bark and chew up things around the house . After 5 weeks with Melissa , the transformation was incredible. He has less anxiety, our walks are less stressful and more enjoyable . He is well behaved when left home alone.I am definitely more confident as a dog owner. I would definitely recommend HemlockK9 Training. My dog Sky is 18 months old, very active BorderCollie/GermanShepherd mix. Melissa did a fabulous job with her. While she knew most of the basic commands when she started, she now consistently listens and obeys. Sky’s bad habits have virtually disappeared and it’s made our life together much more enjoyable! And besides training Sky, Melissa also trained me on how to reinforce Sky’s training. Highly recommend!

Best decision ever! When we found Melissa, we were completely overwhelmed with our reactive rescue dog, Duckie. We were nervous about sending her to a board and train program, but it turned out to be the best gift we could have given both her and ourselves. Duckie loved her time at Hemlock K9—it was clear from her happy, wiggly body in the update videos and the affectionate, more confident dog we now have at home. we just started working with Melissa from Hemlock k9 training and she has been excellent! What she says makes sense And already I’ve seen great improvement in my puppy! My boy is about one years old and nervous around new people, we’ve been doing training visits with our vet and Melissa And the first one went fantastic. She gave great direction as to what the vet tech should do to help make my puppy more comfortable, and by the end of our visit, he was climbing into the techs lap for treats! Just a week after our appointment together, my puppy was able to quickly get comfortable around some new family friends that he’s never met and even accept pets from them which was huge! We’re now doing weekly sessions together at the vet and I am so excited to continue seeing him make great progress, then to be able to start working on some other stuff. Thank you!

I sent my almost 1 year old golden retriever to Melissa's 4 week board & train program and could not recommend her more. It has made the biggest difference in my dog's overall confidence, behavior and issues with separation anxiety. Melissa was extremely communicative and kept me in the loop with daily updates, pictures, and videos. I absolutely plan on sending my dog back for future boarding/training needs!
