I don’t think words can truly capture how grateful I am for my journey with Darshan — and later, the wonderful addition of Adela. My family and I adopted two German Shepherds from a rescue, only to discover (with no warning) that one had a fear-biting habit. We’ve always been a German Shepherd family, but this was the first time we invested in professional training. Darshan was there every step of the way. Through the tears, frustrations, and setbacks, he’d patiently stay on the phone, talking us through each challenge and helping us regain a clear, calm mindset before we continued the training at home. Four years later, our dogs are not only the best-trained companions we’ve ever had — they’re also the biggest cuddlers. Whenever we travel, we know they’re in the safest hands and having the time of their lives. The photo and video updates from Darshan are legendary — friends joke that they want to go to “doggy summer/winter camp” themselves. Thanks to Darshan’s guidance, I’m often asked if I’m a dog trainer myself. That’s how much he’s taught me. I can’t recommend him (and Adela) highly enough.

Every Sunday, the entire Ring Sport Club of Mexico would gather at Tarango Park, from those who had just begun training their dogs to the most experienced who were already competing in French Ring. Dr. José Herrán led the class and provided continuity to the training sessions. One Sunday, he couldn't attend. Darshan Herrán was training his dog, we thought out of admiration for his father or because he had grown up in that environment. What happened that Sunday was something that would completely define for me who Darshan Herrán was. Darshan was barely 11 or 12 years old. He started the class for about 15 or 20 people of different ages, mostly adults. He immediately inspired everyone with his confidence when speaking, encouraging them to follow the class. That day we knew that he didn't just train for pleasure, but that it was a skill he had in his blood and that he had also developed with knowledge. Yes, a child that age divided the group into levels, observed the different problems, and provided solutions for each handler regarding their dog. He also kept a steady pace so everyone could practice, solve problems, or learn something that Sunday. Of course, we all respected the teacher that day, because he earned his authority through his knowledge and kind treatment of each of us. That's how my husband and I knew that Darshan could never stray from this, that it was part of him, and that he would be EXCELLENT at it. Thank you, Darshan, for your work with our dogs over those years and for continuing to share your knowledge from afar.
